This past weekend was rough. Friday night, I woke up in the middle of the night in excruciating pain, finally got back to sleep and woke dreamed about walking around DC in summer in a fur coat. Fever dreams. It was getting worse and worse on Saturday and by the time Kendall convinced me I needed to go to the clinic, my fever was almost at a 103. For someone whose normal temps are below 98, this was pretty terrifying for me. A bowl of chicken noodle soup and a horse-sized Motrin later, my fever was gone, my aches were better, and I am so thankful for such a sweet, caring guy to take care of me and make me go to the doctor. I couldn’t go to brunch with my girls or to the tree-lighting at City Center, but I guess it’s best that I just stayed in and recovered.
This is all to say- I have my health (back), I have a great relationship, I have friends who missed me at lunch, and I had my parents check in on me just to see if there was anything else I needed. For Christmas, I don’t need a thing. But it’s kind of fun to just share the stuff I’m interested in right now and that’s kind of the point of my blog anyway. Plus, even though I gave into some Cyber Monday steals for me and for others, I did a lot of online window shopping.
