I’ve had two favorite pairs of jeans in my life.

The first pair was Tommy Hilfiger. I got them in Reading, PA at an outlet the day after an Aaron Carter concert. We had actually been in the car for seven hours to see Dream Street open for Aaron Carter and missed them so I spent the rest of the concert sobbing. We stayed at a really weird little motel that also was hosting a cat show… and Aaron Carter’s dancers. This was a really weird trip. But I ended up with the worlds perfect bell bottoms that had a band around where the belt loops would be that said TOMMYTOMMYTOMMY in red, white and blue. Welcome to prime middle school fashion circa 2002. I grew out of them because that is what 7th graders do.

The second pair was prime Laguna Beach chic high school fashion circa 2005. These were Hollister, relaxed fit, perfectly torn, with a strawberry, cherry, and mushroom (?) patches. They were lovingly referred to as my shroom pants and I wore them until they literally disintegrated because Hollister jeans are garbage and have the endurance of paper.

I’m honestly not really a jeans girl. I am much more into wearing dresses and in college I wore mostly leggings. I had to wear pants at Pier One but since I’ve had an office job I am always in skirts or dresses. If you pay attention to my outfit posts, you’ll notice that I have exactly one kind of denim- varying washes and high-waistedness (with the highest being my fave) of AE jeggings. Before you judge jegging, note that in this case, it just means really soft denim. I’ve also realized that I have them in all one wash at this point. I’m looking to switch it up with washes, distressed, maybe some bling or embroidery? I’ve rounded up some of my current choice denim.

What’s yours?
