Natural Lip Balm with Beeswax & Honey

Why Do It?

If you’re going to drastically change things about your life, there has to be a good reason for it. The first is to lower the amount of chemicals you’re exposed to on a weekly basis. All of the things we use without thinking about it, like shampoo, moisturiser, make-up, cleaning products, hair spray, and the rest. You may be surprised to learn what ingredients are in those products and what you’re exposing your skin to every single day. The aim of going natural is to find ways of green living, which means your body will finally have healthier alternatives.

Take It Slow

Rome wasn’t built in a day. You don’t have to go through all of your cupboards and throw everything in the bin. Going natural is a process that takes time. So, start off slow. Start with things you know will be easy to come by. For instance, it’s not hard to go online and shop for natural soaps these days. In fact, if you like to be creative, you could have a go at making your own.

Beauty

When it comes to beauty, there are lots of ways to switch from your current regime to a more natural one. You may want to invest in some essential oils because they always come in handy when it comes to beauty products. A few drops of lavender essential oil instead of bath salts will leave your body feeling soft and silky and your mind ready for rest. You can also make some fantastic exfoliators using salt and coconut oil – the latest beauty trend.

Food

When it comes to eating more natural food, you’ll want to go as organic as possible. Organic meat, fruit and vegetables will ensure you know the food has been grown and produced naturally. If you go into a supermarket and you see a punnet of strawberries that look huge and like they’ll last a month, they may have been genetically modified. GM foods were produced to look good and last longer but the chemicals in them aren’t worth picking them up. However, switching to organic can be costly. Cleaning Products

Cleaning can be one of the hardest things to convert. We rely on bleaches and toxins to clean our home but you may be surprised by what a few drops of lemon essential oil can do. It’s not just a great cleaner, it’s also useful for burning to clear out smells.
