When I was little, my mom used to literally pack laundry baskets to take my sister and I to the beach for weeks at a time. As we got older, the kids got more involved in things at home (swim team mostly) and we went to the beach less and less. The upkeep of the house was too much for a place that, all told, was being used for maybe a couple of weeks out of the year. My family ultimately sold our little cottage on stilts by the sea that had been in the family for three generations- right before Hurricane Sandy hit. I don’t get to the beach nearly as much as I’d like to, but a girl can still dream about packing up and shipping off to the shore.

Strapless open-toed sandals

This summer, I’m going to find some stylish strapless open-toed sandals. The less strap, the better, to prevent blisters + hot feet. There are already hundreds of different designs in most stores.  I plan to look for something in a light brown color because that tends to go well with almost anything.

Designer swimsuits

I’m not one to spend a fortune on designer clothes if I can find cheaper alternatives. However, I rarely cut back when it comes to buying swimsuits. That is because even the designer brands are often affordable.  Fella Swim swimsuits online seem to fit the bill. Still, there are lots of other brands I’m going to consider. I just happen to think that it’s worth spending a little more when you’re buying something so delicate and revealing.

Essential beach accessories

No beach outfit is complete without a makeover and a few essential accessories. Firstly, I hate carrying things around, and so I’m always one to throw everything in a beach bag. It’s sensible to get something much larger than your handbag if you want it to hold everything you require.

I’m also prudent to invest in some sunglasses to protect your eyes. If you’re going to buy sunglasses from The Sunglasses Warehouse, you just need to find a style you enjoy. The same applies when you buy from any well-known retailer. Many ladies are opting for aviator-style glasses this summer, but you should choose whatever frames your face nicely.

At the end of the day, it’s possible to make substantial savings if you shop around. For that reason, it’s sensible to check online before you head out to the retail stores. Sometimes you’ll find better deals and offers using the internet. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you look amazing on the beach.
