Give yourself plenty of time

When it comes to wedding planning, one of the worst things that you can do is book a date for your big day that’s too soon. Weddings take a lot of planning, which means that you need to leave yourself enough time to get everything organised. Otherwise, you are not only going to make the process harder, but you are also going to put yourself under more stress. So, it’s a good idea to give yourself at least a year to plan your big day, as that way you won’t be putting yourself under too much pressure and will have plenty of time to get every last detail sorted.

Invest in a wedding planning book

The key to keeping sane when wedding planning is investing in a wedding planning book. These books might be a little expensive but they are incredibly useful, and so, are worth the investment. You will find that all of the best wedding planning books have week by week lists of things that you need to organize in the lead up to your big day, making the planning process much simpler and less stressful. It’s amazing how much easier planning a wedding is when you have a tick list of weekly tasks to follow. If a wedding planning book isn’t enough, then why not consider hiring a professional wedding planner to help you get your big day organized? Yes, having a wedding planner will cost you, but if it means that you get the help and support that you need, it’s worth the cost, isn’t it?

If you want to stay as calm as possible when it comes to wedding planning, you need to learn how to let the small issues go. If you get upset about every little problem, you will end up in a stressed out mess by the time your wedding day comes around.  So what if the caterer is unable to get hold of a certain fish to serve, or the fact that the the color scheme of the decorations is slightly different to the colors of flowers – is it really worth getting upset over?
