Going on vacation is always an exciting time. You get the chance to see a part of the world which you haven’t seen before. And, you don’t have to worry about any of life’s normal little issues; like work and money. Instead, you can spend the time relaxing and having fun. This can all be ruined, though. Without the right preparation, it’s easy to go on holiday without the body you want. And, this can be enough to make you feel uncomfortable for the whole trip. To help you out with this, this post will be going through some of the important things to do to your body before you travel. With this in mind, you should be able to make your trip much more pleasant. And, it doesn’t have to cost you anything at all.

Tanning

To start, a lot of people go on vacations to hot places. And, in these places, you will often find loads of people with great tans. This can make you feel very out of place if you have a pale complexion. So, it’s worth getting a base tan before you go away. To do this, you have a couple of choices. In most cases, it’s best to do this through sunbathing; as long as you have the right protection. But, using a tanning bed or spray tan will also work well. Of course, this doesn’t just serve for vanity. Along with the benefits of looking good, having a tan will also increase your protection against the sun. There’s not much worse than sunburn when you’re on a nice trip. So, it’s best to make sure that you have this sorted before you go. Be careful, though; fake tans won’t give you this protection.

Getting in shape

Next, it’s time to think about a different aspect of your body’s appearance. A lot of people like to get into shape before they go on vacation. You will probably be spending a lot of your time wearing very few clothes. This means that you will be exposed and on show; driving most to try to look as good as they can. The biggest part of this journey will be your diet. You need to make sure that you’re eating a balanced and healthy diet long before you go on your holiday. Options like Huel are great for those who can’t be bothered with calorie counting; but, won’t be good for those that like variety in their food. But, there’s more to this than just food.

You also have to consider the exercise you do; when you’re planning to get in shape for your vacation. Putting effort into something like this will always pay off. And, in fact, it may only take a month or two for you to get there. During this time, you need to try and do some moderate or heavy exercise each day. Cardio work can be performed as much as you want. But, weight training will have to have breaks. If you’re unsure; you could always go and see your doctor or a personal trainer to figure it out. This will help you to clear up any concerns you might have.

Vaccinations/other medication

Now, as it gets closer to the vacation, you need to consider the vaccinations you might need to travel to your destination. Loads of countries will enforce mandatory vaccinations for their guests. This ensures that diseases don’t leave the country and get taken to a place where they could cause an epidemic. Finding this information out should be too hard. There are websites on the internet dedicated to helping people find out which vaccines they might need to travel to different places. Along with this, you might want to get some other medication for your trip. A lot of people find that they get sick on planes or in very hot places. So, it’s worth considering what you might suffer from while away.

Getting your hands on medication can be done through a few different routes. For vaccinations, you will need to go to a doctor. They will be the only people with access to the right chemicals to give you the vaccine you need. And, along with this, they will be the only ones who can give you proof you’ve had it. But, other medication can be sourced differently. There are loads of websites on the internet which can sell you bulk loads of medication. Buying pills like this should be done with care, though. Only ever buy from a company which you trust. And, only buy drugs which are recognized by your doctor.

Personal hygiene

Your personal hygiene could play a big part of your trip. And, for women, there’s something to be very concerned about; periods. Of course, you can’t exactly book a holiday to suit this time in the month. Instead, you have to find a way to solve the issue yourself. Norethisterone tablets are used to delay a period; making it much easier for you to feel comfortable swimming and enjoying yourself. Other embarrassing, but completely natural, bodily issues can also be solved with medication. For example, people who struggle to control their bladder might want to find a drug to ease this issue for them when they travel.

One of the biggest areas of personal hygiene which people fail to address before their trip is their skin’s health. This part of your body is the one organ that people see all the time. You can’t hide your skin; especially in a hot place. So, instead, you need to work hard to make sure that it’s clear of spots or blemishes before you go. As a pro-tip; bicarbonate soda is great for clearing the skin. But, of course, you probably have a few tricks up your sleeve.

It’s getting to that time of year when you need to pluck and preen and get summer ready. I know, I know! It’s a lot of hassle when you first shave those legs after a longer winter of rocking leggings and trousers. But the sooner we do it, the sooner we can wear skirts and sandals, and jump in the pool without a second thought. Tan it up

Of course, we all know the dangers of sun exposures and don’t even get me started on the irresponsibility of sunbeds! That means the only way to get yourself tanned and lovely is via a fake tan product.

Luckily, there is an abundance of these on the market. Including gradual tans, foam tans, and spray tans.

Gradual tans work over a longer period of time. You apply them like moisturizer, and the color on you skin builds up gradually over each application. Although you do need to make sure that you use one that is specially formulated for your face.

Foam tans are one of the best fake tan products for two reasons. First, they seem to go on a lot better, and they are easy to work into the skin. Secondly, you can usually see where you have been. So you don’t end up going over the same area again, and again and getting patches.

Most foam tans also give you the color you are looking for in one or two applications too. So they are a great idea if you need it sorted quickly.

Lastly, spray tans are instant. You have them sprayed on with a pump, a bit like a hose and then keep them on for a few hours. Then when you wash them off, you have a perfect tan underneath.

You can go to a salon to have this done, or if you are a real tan enthusiast, you can buy the kit to do it yourself at home. Just remember not to sit on your favorite furniture as the tan can rub off and leave a real mess.

Smooth legs and body

Apart from a tan, most women also like to ensure that their legs and other areas are smooth are hair free for the summer.

The quickest and easiest way to do this is by using a disposable razor and some massaging cream. Or you can use conditioner too as this is design for hair and skin and is full of silicone which makes the razor glide across the skin.

Of course, not everyone loves disposable razors, as you run the risk or razor burn and unsightly and painful nicks and cuts. Happily, there are other options to try out which avoid this these problems.

However, you may choose not to shave at all on the go for something else entirely like waxing or epilating.

Both of these remove the hair from a root which means it takes longer to grow back. So you have a long time being hair free. However, for this reason, they are the most painful way of getting rid of any body hair.

There is also another disadvantage to these methods as you have to wait for the hair to be a certain length before it can be removed, and your skin can resemble a plucked chicken when you first do this treatment. Although it usually calms down after a while.

Protect your eyes

Lastly, another major task on our summer ready to do list as women is to ensure that we have the right protective eye wear for the sunny season.

Sunglasses need to protect our eyes from UVA and UVB rays, as well as look fabulous and fit in with the rest of our summer wardrobe.

Its also important to wear sunnies because they stop you squinting a lot in the sun. Which can help reduce the occurrence of a fine lines on the face, keeping you looking young.
