Halloween is over and November is here! Last night was kind of funny- Kendall started a journey back again to Mississippi for drill and because it was Tuesday most of my friends were either meh about Halloween or had after work plans. SO I put on a onesie and headed to Chipotes for a $3 burrito bol and then it took me three hours to write this blog post because tired and bol coma.

So here we are. Happy November!

My friend was wearing MAC Turquatic Fragrance at a birthday happy hour last week. It smelled AMAZE and I stalked it like the night I got home.

Surprise surprise, my Charlotte Russe perforated booties are totally falling apart after a year and change. Time for an upgrade- perhaps Vince Camuto Kamey Perforated Booties.

I don’t know if I could ever have enough fuzz in my life. I have a great leopard (faux, obvs.) fur coat- pink fuzz may be next on my list, like this MELODY Faux-Fur Coat.

Seeing as how we watched Strangers Things 2 in, what, 2 days? This Netflixing Definition Sweatshirt seems appropes.

I’m not a huge makeup buff, really. But that doesn’t stop me from eyeing pretty things like the new line from MAC, especially the MAC Snow Ball Face Powder.

Holidays are coming (YUP! ALREADY!) which means it’s like 2 months worth of party paws. Check this Deborah Lippmann Glitter Nail Color in Candy Shop.

Kinda just want this ALTERNATIVE Camo Sweater Dress to wear with my thigh high boots.

I’ve been doing some research on chakras and while I’m usual drawn to all things root chakra, it seems like my sacral chakra in in a little bit of imbalance. I feel like I should try 2nd Chakra Balancing Oil.

These Tassel Earrings look a helluva lot like a brand we all know and love… but they’re under $10.

I’m already feelin’ the season’s chapped lips. Enter VASELINE Limited Edition Pink Bubbly Lip Therapy. (Incidentally, I found this one a Millennial Pink list)

What do you have planned for this November?

I have this thing with leopard. Pretty sure that mostly comes from not being allowed to wear it as a little kid. Mathy has come around and even rocks it herself occasionally, but to me its essentially a neutral for dressing up or down or sideways or whatever. My one rule is one leopard piece per outfit.

This rule is allowed to be broken if you’re a fabulous little old lady at church in which case pile it on and I cannot wait to be you one day. This is not something I’m making up. There’s a couple of women at St. John’s Lafayette who dress all the way up for church. I’m talking head to toe leopard with matching hat and gloves. And then they sneak out after communion and I like to imagine they go have a boozy brunch and flirt with cute waiters… but I digress.

Today I’m bringing you the ultimate extra skirt, styled two ways. I like to think of the first as “brunch” and the second as “New Year’s Eve” but to be honest you could call them “girls’ night” and “date night” or any title you want. Basically, one is more casual and the other more dressed up.

And I’m thinking about this skirt for my semi-Lisa Frank themed bachelorette part in February. Either that or a neon tutu- thoughts?

Remember last year when Bubbles & Bloggers took a field trip to my old neck of the woods to get some of that country fall goodness you can’t get in the city? Well, when we were at Rocklands, I picked up some farm fresh pork for Kendall and now we’re spoiled and the stuff from the grocery store just doesn’t cut it. Since this past weekend was so gorgeous, we decided to take a little field trip of our own.

Content warning: if you’re a vegetarian who has a problem with my purchasing farm-fresh meat, you might want to stop reading. Nothing graphic, I promise, but I do love eating meat, and I’m a huge fan of buying local.

I didn’t realize this because last fall we made other stops, but Rocklands Farm is only about 40 minutes outside of DC, with a gorgeous drive to get there. There’s plenty of parking, and the farm isn’t so massive that you feel overwhelmed- everything for visitors is pretty much contained. Because it was such a beautiful day, there were a ton of families enjoying the sunshine, wine, and nibbles from the market- lots of littles running around.

Since we were going to my parents’ for dinner after, I picked up a bottle of their Sandstone to take my dad, and some fresh flowers for my mom. You can check out all of their wines here.

Kendall had never been to Rocklands before so we carefully took our time selecting the cuts of pork to take home. While they don’t deliver, you can order your meats/ poultry online and select a designated drop-off spot to pick up your product. Another option is to sign up for the Rocklands Meat CSA, which is a club for pasture-raised, grass-fed & finished, nutrient-dense and humanely-raised meats. The meat CSA share includes a monthly selection of a diverse variety of cuts, flash-frozen & vacuum sealed, of beef, pork, lamb and chicken, varying month to month.  We considered it, but it’s so nice to get out of the city occasionally and hand-select whatever it is you want that I don’t know if we’ll end up doing that.

I clearly decided to go all country girl for mu outfit. I may be mostly city-fied, but I do love my fresh air and wide open spaces from time to time.

Target is bae and has been bae since my mom and sister came home from a weekend shopping trip like 15 year ago with wild stories of a store with an escalator just for carts. When I was in college, my mom gave me a Target card because they had everything I could need and they were also far superior to Walmart. Cheese? They got it. Sundress? Check! Storage ottoman? YOU BETCHA! And now you can add discount BaubleBar to the mix with SUGARFIX, the sweetest jewelry collab, only at Target.

I checked out SUGARFIX the last time I was in a Target and was overall very pleased with the quality. The chunky statement necklaces were a little lighter than the original BaubleBar brand, but I can’t even say that’s a bad thing. The price is nice- think about half of what you’d expect to spend with BaubleBar- and a lot of it is on clearance PLUS 20% off clearance with the code SAVE20. ALSO- you can earn cashback shopping SUGARFIX by BaubleBar with ebates!

I could not be more thrilled that Stella & Dot, my favorite jewelry retailer, now offers adorable tops. The tops are mostly solid, offering a blank canvas to doll up with their jewelry and other accessories. Although I’m not really a Stella & Dot stylist (I haven’t made it a business~ you can check out my post on that here), I fancy myself a bit of a freelance stylist anyway with my blog, and wanted to show some of the Stella & Dot combos I love..

The best thing about the new Stella & Dot tops is that they’re mostly work appropriate for business casual. Since it’s a brand I already love and have been wearing for years, I can’t wait to try out the clothing!

My personal style leans towards a solid top with a really funky necklace. I’ve created two different all Stella & Dot looks with that style in mind.
