Of course, you can see it from all over the harbor, but if you want to get up close and personal with Lady Liberty, then you will need to take a ferry across the water. Then you can choose to walk around the outside to get an idea of how big she really is, or even take a trip inside and view the rest of New York from the flame.

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Statue of Liberty was gifted to America from France in 1886, and one of the most popular tourist destination in the world. Eat while overlooking the city

Now, while New York might not be the most relaxing of destinations for a vacation. There are some places in the city where you can get away from the hustle and bustle for a bit. One such place is the famous Central Park, an oasis of green among the skyscrapers.

Take a picnic and a blanket and relax in Sheep Meadow when the sun is out. Or why not treat the kids to a ride on the carousel, or even sail some miniature boats on the picturesque Conservatory Lake?
