Disney World in Orlando really is one of the most incredible places on earth. Along with the beautiful sunshine, gorgeous scenery and wildlife, you have Disney World- a magical place of dreams for both children and adults alike. The thing about a trip to Disney is that there’s SO much to do, and so to get the best out your vacation some planning is necessary. With many destinations across the world it’s fine to turn up without a plan and see where the trip takes you, but it’s worth being a little more meticulous with this! Here are some of the things to consider in the planning stages.

Decide on a Hotel

Disney are known for their absolutely epic hotels. It’s worth spending a good amount of time looking into all of the different options and seeing what each one has to offer as they’re so much more than just accommodation. There are Disney hotels available for various budgets, but in general, they are all more on the pricey side (with some of the more luxurious hotels costing a pretty penny). If you’re looking to do your trip more on a budget, there are a ton of great hotels along International Drive, although you will have to take a bus each day to get to where the main parks are located.

Book Airport Shuttles/ Transfers

Once you’ve decided on accommodation, your next step is to book a transportation service from the airport to the hotel. After a long flight, the last thing you want is to be messing around with taxis and things so this helps to save you hassle. A shuttle will also be less expensive, and you have peace of mind that you can get to the hotel easily, and then back to the airport at the end of the trip.

Purchase Park Tickets

The reason for visiting Disney is primarily to go to the Disney parks. There are four main parks, The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. There are also two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. On top of this, there are various other parks and water parks in Orlando, from Discovery Cove and Seaworld to Universal Studios to Wet n Wild waterpark. Depending on your budget and how long you’re visiting for, you might have to make the tough decision between which of these make the cut. Plenty of research again will help you decide which will appeal to you most- although in all fairness you won’t be disappointed with any that you pick.

Decide on Other Things To Do

Along with all of the incredible parks and water parks, Orlando has a ton of other great things to offer too. There are museums, conservation centers, you can even take a day out to visit a beach which is just a short drive away. Plus there are fantastic shops, restaurants, and nightlife to explore, so you’re not short on choice. In fact, the issue is there’s so much to do it’s all about fitting in as much as possible!
