Anyway, in this post, we take a look at some of the floral scents that you might want to fill your home with and some of the benefits that they offer.

Lavender
Lavender is a flower that people have been using for thousands of years because of its profound medicinal properties. Not only does it smell great, but it also has an uncanny ability to calm the mind. People who regularly take lavender report feeling healthier, happier and more content with life than many of their counterparts. No wonder homeowners want it permeating every room!

Lily
Lily is another popular option. It doesn’t have quite the same pungency as lavender, but it is still beautiful, fragrant and perfumy.
Lilies are uplifting in their own way. They don’t just reduce anxiety. Instead, they help you to feel more joyful every day of your life. They remind you that life is primarily about being playful in everything that you do.

Peony
Peony is a lesser-known flower, but one that you’ll want to keep in your home. Its smell has elements of citrus and ginger and, for that reason, it is a great antidote for things like migraines and headaches. You’ll notice that having peony in your home makes you feel far less tense.

Mint
While mint isn’t strictly speaking a floral scent, it can be a wonderful accompaniment to your home. Mint has a powerful aroma, particularly if you use it as essential oils in a diffuser.
What makes it so good? Well it’s not just the smell. Mint is a proven pest deterrent. After using proven pest control near me, many people have been using mint to keep pests at bay. It contains powerful compounds that smell good to us but are actually a turn off for other creatures.

Hyacinth
Hyacinth flowers are big and beautiful. When you walk into a well-maintained and planned garden, they are often the first thing that you see.
Most hyacinth flowers have between four and six reflexed petals. To make them even more attractive, they tend to bloom in dense clusters, comprising dozens of individual flowers, attracting wildlife from miles around.
The great thing about this scent is that it deters pests. You can keep them fresh in your home in a vase, or include dried leaves in your pot pourri. You might also try to find hyacinth essential oils and put them in your diffuser if you have the option to do so.

Lemongrass
Lemongrass is another popular home smell and pairs beautifully with coconut (just as it does in food).
Why choose lemongrass? Simple really: it helps your home smell unique and interesting. Plus, it has a powerful ability to mask outdoor smells from agricultural activity and pollution.

Breaking Bad Behavior
The first thing that we are going to mention is breaking bad behavior. If you have found yourself involved in bad behavior and things that are becoming a problem in your daily life, then you need to get the help required in order to break this. The last thing that you want is to make your life any harder, and that is all that is happening here. As such, you should look into somewhere like Sunshine Behavioral Health or somewhere that offers you the support that you need to get through this tough time.
Cutting Out Stress
The next thing that you are going to have to think about is cutting out some of the stress in your life. Now, this is far easier said than done because this might be someone in your family, or even your job as a whole. If this happens to be the case then you are going to need to start looking for a new job as soon as possible or work on figuring out if there is a way to cut down on the amount that you are doing.
Stress is dangerous to our health but we have become so conditioned to think it’s normal. It isn’t. It can damage your mental and physical health alike, and lead you down a road that you are better off not going down at all.
Letting It All Out
The final thing that you are going to need to do is let it all out. Let it out every now and again. If this means that you need to cry, do it. If this means that you need to stomp around and shout at nothing in particular, do that. If it means you need to scream into your pillow at night or throw it at all the walls, do it. Do whatever you need to in order to get the feelings out from inside you because if you don’t, they are going to eat you alive until you explode anyway.
We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now have a better understanding as to some of the things that sit on the side of looking after yourself that people don’t talk about. We know that you may have experienced one or two of these things before, but they still aren’t talked about the way that they should be. Look after yourself through all means necessary, and never let anyone else tell you that you are wrong. We wish you the very best of luck with this.

A little while back, I reviewed CTW hemp oil and how it was a part of my morning routine, but I wanted to share with you my experience with their Pain Cream and how I’ve made it a part of my nighttime routine.
Some of you may know this, but I was diagnosed with arthritis in high school after my knee kept dislocating. Originally the doctors said this was related to having Lyme Disease in middle school (and that very well could be part of it). However, my doctor told me a couple years ago that there may be something more: ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) may contribute to the development of inflammatory disease. My arthritis did not start until after Candace died – an obviously traumatic event in my childhood. Whatever the case may be, I sometimes find myself achey with my joints popping uncomfortably. I also hold my stress in my shoulders, neck, and lower back.
I do the best with routine. Around 8PM every night (every normal night where I just go home after work), I stop what I’m doing, put on a face mask, tidy up my apartment and get ready for the next morning. I get my bed turned down, and take a hot shower. I always moisturize after a shower, but I’ve been using CTW Pain Cream mixed with lavender oil instead of a regular lotion. Especially on days where I’m running around the office, this had become a super soothing ritual for myself. (And the lotion is also great for cramps, ladies.)

Personally, I think the smell is nice on its own, although it does have a bit of an icy-hot feel/smell to it, but the lavender oil takes it up a notch and that smell is always so calming to me. I recommend grace & stella Lavender Essential Oil. The first time I used this combo, I could literally feel my body calming down.
What does your bedtime routine look like?

Run Twice A Week
Whether or not you are currently doing a great deal of exercise, you’ll find that the simple act of going for a run twice a week or so is going to make a big difference to your overall health very quickly. Running is a simple and yet highly effective way to get enough exercise in, and it’s going to lead to so many great changes that you will notice very quickly indeed. You are going to have more energy, you’ll sleep better, and you’ll find that you are considerably more likely to feel as though you are really taking care of yourself, so it’s certainly something you might want to think about.
If you are struggling to get going with this, you might want to consider starting small. Just go for a five minute jog once a week and then build it up from there – or you can try the couch to 5k challenge, which has really helped a lot of people in the past. However you do it, running twice a week is going to ensure that you are much more likely to be as healthy as you would want to be.
Purposefully De-Stress
Many of us don’t spend any time at all purposefully trying to remove stress from our lives, but this is really something that you will want to consider doing if you are keen to try and improve your health and your life as a whole. The more stress you have going through the body, the more cortisol there is, and that is effectively going to act as a toxin if you are not careful with keeping it to a minimum. So anything you can do to reduce stress on a regular basis is well worth doing.
One of the best ways to do that is to start a daily meditation ritual. That can be as simple as sitting down and breathing and focusing on the breath. Just doing that simple practice for 20 minutes a day can profoundly change your stress levels, your approach towards stress, and your life in general. It really is one of the most amazing things you can do for your overall wellbeing, and yet it’s free and easy to do on the whole.
Cut Down On Drinking
Most of us in our culture drink a little too much. But if you think that your drinking might be becoming a problem, then you might want to think about cutting down on it as best as you can. After all, having less alcohol in your system is just always going to be a good thing, and it’s something that you are likely going to really enjoy as well overall, although it can be a challenge when you first try to do it.
How you will need to approach this will depend on the extent of your drinking at present. If you are a part-time drinker, it might just mean not going out to the pub quite so often, maybe keeping it to twice a month or so. But if you are worried you might be fully dependent, then it could be a good idea to look into rehab for alcohol. There is no shame in going to rehab if that is what you need, and you are going to have some of the most incredible health improvements in both the short-term and the long-term if you do manage to give up the drinking, or even just cut down.
Put The Salt Away
Salt can be a tricky one for many people. After all, it does have a way of making all food delicious! But if you are eating too much salt, then that is one of those things that are going to make a huge difference to how your health is doing. An overabundance of salt in your system will lead to high blood pressure, which in turn increases your risk of heart disease and other similar issues, so it’s important that you are not eating more than strictly necessary.
One piece of good news here is that you will find you are going to be able to have your taste buds adapt to less and less salt, if you gradually reduce the amount you use in your own cooking. So you won’t have to worry that your food won’t taste good – it will, it will just take a while for your body to adapt to the lack of salt.
Go To Bed Earlier
The simple act of going to bed a little earlier can bring about some radical transformations in your life. For instance, you are going to find that you are much more likely to have a lot of energy, and having high energy levels means that you can much more effectively get things done, so that is really something that you will want to think about. Going to bed earlier means that sleep is more likely to come and that it will be deeper when it does, so it’s definitely a good idea to think about that as well.
As you can see, there are plenty of things you can do in order to bring about huge changes to your health in so many ways. If you start with these, you’ll get there soon enough.

It would be best if you drank plenty of water to hydrate your skin. Drinking water helps to keep your body in good health, including the skin. Drinking lots of water will improve the quality of your appearance and provide you with many other benefits for your entire well-being.
Dehydrated people have dry and flaky skin that often looks wrinkled because it does not absorb moisturizer enough when used. Although you can drink water at any time, it is best to do so in the morning before breakfast and again before dinner.
Use a humidifier if your home or office has dry air during the winter months because heating systems often lower humidity levels. Low humidity causes skin cells to shrink and swell as moisture from within evaporates – causing flakiness and irritation.
Moisturize the skin during and after showering or bathing to lock in moisture that has been absorbed into your body from the water you drink.
Polluted air is also a significant cause of skin problems. The fine particles floating in the atmosphere can enter our respiratory system and lead to lung issues like asthma or bronchitis. Still, they can also accumulate within our pores and harm the way we look. This is especially true for those living in urban areas with lots of pollution.
If you are concerned about the pollutants in your environment, try wearing a protective mask if walking outside or using an air purifier for indoor areas that need special attention. Wash Your Hands Well. It’s essential to wash our hands regularly because germs can quickly accumulate on warm, moist surfaces like those found between fingers and under nails.
Be sure to wash your hands with soap and warm water before eating, after touching money (which can carry germs from many people), or when preparing food.
A healthy diet will provide your skin with the nutrients it needs to keep you looking fresh and youthful. Some foods are particularly good for keeping our skin in tip-top condition; these include dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach which helps reduce inflammation of acne-prone areas on the face; avocados contain retinol which encourages collagen production to give the skin a plump, smooth appearance.

Always remember that the products you use are essential. If your skin is dry, it’s best to avoid using rich or oily creams because they will worsen your condition! Instead, always look for something gentle but effective. It may take some research on what works best for each person, but generally, there are a couple of go-to creams highly recommended by dermatologists.
Using organic, all-natural ingredients is the best way to improve your skin day after day. A great product to consider is miracle cream. Some benefits of using miracle cream include; it contains natural products and is safe to use even on babies.
Chemical-based beauty products can cause damage and make it harder for your body to fight off any infections. The best way to ensure your skin stays healthy is by using the right products and avoiding anything harsh or artificial.

As we sleep, our skin regenerates and repairs itself. This is why it’s so important to follow a nighttime skincare routine for excellent results in the morning! It can be challenging to get into such an early bedtime after working or staying up late with friends, but spending just 20 minutes on your nighttime skincare routine can have a significant impact on your skin!
Another essential step in a great skincare regimen is protecting your face from UV damage. A good SPF sunscreen or moisturizer with built-in sun protection will protect you from harmful rays that cause aging and cancerous moles.
Remember to apply sunscreen every day, even if you aren’t going outside and wearing makeup, because there is some evidence that UV rays can still penetrate your windows! It doesn’t matter if it’s cloudy or not sunny out. As long as the sun has access to your face, then those harmful rays will affect you.
By now, most people are aware of the dangers posed by sun exposure. The ultraviolet (UV) radiation that penetrates our skin can cause severe damage like wrinkles and age spots to form over time. Many also know that sunscreen helps protect against these effects, but not enough people use it regularly or apply it correctly.
Apply sunscreen generously. Use it every day—even when it isn’t sunny outside! You’ll want to use about one ounce of sunscreen per application, which is generally equivalent to a handful or slather on enough for at least half of body surface area.
Many benefits of exercise can not be denied. If you want to have great skin, it’s vital for your overall health and well-being. Exercise will help circulate blood flow better around your body, which means more nutrients flowing through your cells, keeping them healthy-looking. It also helps with stress levels as most people who exercise have lower cortisol levels in their bodies. This is the stress hormone that can wreak havoc on your skin when it’s too high, so try to fit some form of movement into your daily routine for the best results!
Your neck and chest are quickly forgotten when it comes to skincare. But the fact is, they need care too! If you want your skin in tip-top condition, then don’t forget these essential areas. Here’s why: Your neck has more fine lines than many people realize because of its constant exposure to sunlight (and sometimes harsh winds and harsh weather), while your chest can also become a skin problem area if you’re not careful.
For the neck, use an antioxidant-rich moisturizer to combat the free radical damage that comes with aging—this is great for both men and women. You should then apply sunscreen every morning to protect it from further UV damage. For your chest, you need to use sunscreen too. If your breasts are on the larger side, then make sure that they’re protected as well; otherwise, wear a wide-brimmed hat and scarf (when it’s cold) for extra protection against harmful UV rays.
Skincare can be a big part of your daily routine, but it is not the only way to care for your skin. Getting enough sleep each night helps you look refreshed and better in general, which may make you more likely to practice good skincare habits. A well-rested body heals faster when dealing with the stress that comes with skincare. Try to hit seven or eight hours of sleep per night and see how your skin responds!
Skincare is not just about what you put on your face but also includes the food that goes into it. Getting enough vitamins and minerals can help keep your skin looking fresh, smooth, and young. Foods like spinach, broccoli, carrots, grapefruit juice, or oranges are great for promoting healthy skin, thanks to their high Vitamin A content. Your body also needs a healthy dose of essential minerals like zinc, copper, and silica to maintain a glowing complexion. For a quick boost of silica, eat your greens. Green vegetables are high in this crucial mineral responsible for the production of collagen and elastin fibers which give skin its firmness and bounce.
In conclusion, Consistency is vital for effective skincare. Unfortunately, it’s easy to forget about your skin, especially when you’re busy with work or school. Thankfully, many things can help keep our routines consistent even if we don’t have time for a complete set of skincare steps. Remember to cleanse your skin daily, moisturize at night and keep in mind that sun protection is just as necessary for the face as it is for the rest of your body.

As many of my readers probably know, I struggle with anxiety. Working with a therapist for two years certainly helped and I have a better understanding of how to deal with it. Not really to control, per say, but to recognize the signs, causes, and what helps make me feel better.
I’m not knocking anyone who uses medication to help with their own anxiety, but I am so sensitive to anything (just ask anyone who knows me what happens when I’m over-caffienated) that frankly the thought of taking medication for my mental health scares me. Big fan of sleepy time tea and Lofi Fruits Music over here.
When a dear family friend, Rick, reached out and asked if I’d like to test his company’s CBD products, I jumped at the chance. I’m in an extremely stressful season right now and my anxiety is so high that I’ve actually be sleepwalking, which I haven’t done since I was a kid. Between work picking up while my boss is out with a new grandbaby and my final weeks of grad school… there’s just a lot on my plate.
CBD doesn’t cause a high; Hemp-derived CBD oil is extracted from low-THC cannabis plants. This is the type of CBD sold over the counter in nutrition stores and supermarkets, added to lattes in cool coffee shops, and infused into luxe beauty products. Actually, one of my favorite coffee shops near work offers CBD as an add-in, and that’s why I decided to put my CTW hemp oil in my coffee.
It’s funny, my experience with CTW hemp oil is actually marked by the days I haven’t used it. While I didn’t feel different on days I put it in my morning coffee, my anxiety was way worse on days where I forgot. I know that I go in and out of these anxious times, and right now is markedly worse, but int he middle of the week when I met Dani for coffee before work instead of making my own… that was a day where I got so wrapped up in work I forgot to eat, where I was shaking by the time I got home, and when I sleepwalked. Saturday was the same. I had a work emergency first thing in the morning, skipped my coffee, and was pacing and freaking out. I’m not saying I’m now dependant on the CTW hemp oil, but I do think that it’s been extremely helpful during these crazy couple of weeks.

Many people believe that these shoes were invented by French cobbler Hubert de Givenchy in 1952 when Audrey Hepburn was filming the movie “Sabrina.” However, other historians claim these shoes actually date back to ancient Greece and Rome, where men and women wore them during ceremonies. If you look at paintings from this period, you will see that both male and female legs are being exposed, so it is quite possible that high heels have been around for a long time.
Regardless of when this style was first created, high heel shoes are now worn by women worldwide, and they continue to be popular today. More than 4 million pairs of these shoes are manufactured every year, which means plenty are available to suit different tastes and budgets. You can buy them in stores or online but bear in mind that you will need to break them into your wardrobe gradually because the shape can cause strain on your feet if not used relatively frequently.
There are also serious long-term consequences associated with wearing these types of shoes all the time, such as problems with posture and balance. For example, you could stretch muscles without even realizing it or develop back or joint problems if you wear high heels regularly (this includes shopping at the mall). Because of this, Chiropractic Care recommends that you make sure to give yourself some time off from wearing these types of shoes every now and again; you should be fine after about two weeks if you acclimate yourself slowly.
When you wear high heels for any length of time without wearing them often enough beforehand (ideally at least 2-3 months), you will need to give your feet time to adapt. This does not mean that you should go out and buy a new pair today, as it is better to ease yourself in slowly. Instead, identify your old standby heels and start using those instead; maybe only wear them every other day initially, for example. Once your feet have adjusted and any pain has gone after wearing the high heel shoes, then you can begin wearing them on a daily basis if you wish.
These shoes may look great with certain outfits, but it is important not to overlook the negative consequences wearing these types of shoes can have on your body – especially your feet. If you spend too much time walking around in them without giving your foot muscles time to build up, you will notice pretty quickly that they can cause pain. There is a reason why high heels were originally designed for special occasions and not everyday use: the shoes put your body in an unnatural position, and this means that you need to take extra care when walking in them.

Be More Consistent
First of all, one of the best things that you can do for your body is to make sure that you’re a lot more consistent. If you’re working out sporadically, it may not get you the kind of results that you want. Instead, when you make exercise a habit, it’s going to be much better for you. You’ll start to see the benefits and get rewards much faster. You’ll feel much better for it too.
Eat More Greens
You also need to make sure that you’re introducing more greens into your diet. It doesn’t mean that you have to cut things out or actually go on a balance. Instead, just aim for a better balance. The more nutrients the better, so try your hardest to eat more fruits and vegetables.
Reduce Stress
It’s also a good idea to try and reduce any stress that comes your way too. If you feel like you’re worrying about a lot of things, it’s time to deal with them and aim to try and clear your mind. Being more present and also meditating can really help you here.
Make Healthy Switches
From here, you may find that it actually helps you if you can make some healthier switch ups too. If there are things in your life that you know are not that good for you, like smoking or alcohol, can you switch them for alternatives. Something like carts ccell or a non-alcoholic cocktail could be much better for you. Anything that you can do to reduce the impact on your body and your health is always going to be a good idea.
Relax A Little More
Finally, you may find that it really helps you if you can just relax a little more. It’s not always easy for you to do this but you have to try and make it a priority. If you know that you want to feel better, then it’s a good idea for you to rest and slow down. If you’re always on the go you might burn out. Whether you’re busy with work or our private life or whatever, relaxing can make such a difference to you instead. You’ll definitely start to notice a change in how you feel.
It’s so much easier for you to take better care of yourself than you’d first realize. It can seem like it’s going to be such a big job for you to do when really you just need to focus on yourself and what will be good for your health and wellness. So enjoy trying out these tips and see how they work for you.

So with that in mind, it’s time to get back in touch with that child that’s still inside all of us. We all have that young spirit whether it’s sitting just below the surface or buried deep. Here are five ways to get in touch with your inner child.

Keep An Open Mind
When we grow up, the world continues to change and advance in ways that we eventually become unfamiliar with. It’s at this point that it’s beneficial to keep an open mind about everything that you experience as younger generations come about and craft the world that we live in.
By keeping an open mind, you can hopefully adapt to the newer world we see evolving. When you’ve become out of touch with what society is all about and the changes that are being made, it can really remind you of your age. So in the spirit of living like we’re young, try to open your mind to new ways of thinking and newer ways of life as the years go by. The world will continue to evolve and change long after you’re gone, so it’s good to change with it and see it’s growth before your eyes.
Revisit Classic Films For Nostalgia
When you come across something that has been buried deep within the memories of your brain for years and years, it can be a hit of nostalgia that brings it all back. If you’ve been struggling to get back in touch with that inner-child, one of the best ways of accessing them is through classic films and television shows that you used to watch.
The benefits of the internet allow us to watch and stream shows or films from all over the place. Whether it’s a recent film that reminded you of something else or a classic from the years prior in which you watched it over and over again.
There’s nothing better than having an injection of nostalgia every now and then to keep you young.
Get A Fun Outfit Or Two
Sometimes, it’s not just about doing things that bring out that younger side in you, it’s what you wear too! Who said that unicorn pajamas are just for kids or that you have to have a wardrobe that’s full of clothing that doesn’t make you feel comfortable but is there because it’s stylish? When it comes to dressing for yourself, find clothing that you actually like wearing because it makes you happy.
A fun outfit or two isn’t going to change anything but it can make you feel more in touch with that inner child – especially when it’s something quirky like a unicorn onesie!
Spend Time Doing Things You Enjoy
We tend to push ourselves into things that don’t make us happy or perhaps do it in order to appease others. However, your free time and the time you make for yourself in life is for you to do with as you please. Try not to get too hung up on doing things that bring nothing of value to your life. Instead, focus on activities that bring you joy, regardless of what it is. It’s much better to be happy and enjoy things you are passionate about in life, than to pretend to do things that others are doing but are boring as anything to you.
When you spend more time on doing things you like, you end up being a lot happier in general.
Work To Live Rather Than Living To Work
As much as work can be important to pay the bills and provide structure in your life, it’s also important that you perfect that work life balance. Ideally, you want to have the mindset of working to live, rather than living to work. By living to work, you’re not truly enjoying everything that life has to offer. Shift your mindset and it will certainly help bring change to your life.
There are plenty of ways to get back in touch with that inner child, but use these tips to start off.

Your body requires fat to absorb specific vitamins
Did you know that your body requires about 30g of fat daily? The fundamental reason is to enhance the body’s ability to absorb the following crucial vitamins:
While these vitamins do not dissolve in water, fat can break them down for your body’s benefit. Fat is a necessary substance for the body to function optimally. However, fat accumulation can get out of hand and cause a body image issue.
There are some pretty cool modern ways to deal with excessive weight gain, if it’s bothering you. For example, CoolSculpting is a procedure that targets and freezes fat cells in specific body parts. To find a local medspa that offers this procedure, you can do a quick Google search such as ‘CoolSculpting near me’ and browse the results and reviews.
The skeleton renews itself every decade
The human skeleton adopts a ten-year cycle to renew or regenerate itself. What’s more, the process takes up a lot of calcium, phosphorus, and other vital minerals to get the process going. This explains why calcium is highly essential in a human diet as it strengthens and contributes to healthy bone formation. Therefore, a severe lack of these building minerals can result in brittle bones or less dense bones.
Especially for women, having weak bones is a serious issue due to hormone fluctuations. Science has proven that women are more likely to experience brittle bones and arthritis due to fluctuations that happen at certain stages in their reproductive lives. These are menstruation, ovulation, pregnancy, and menopause. Therefore, it is critical to eat healthily and support your system with vital supplements for a stronger skeletal system.
The human body accumulates toxins daily
The air you breathe, the things you eat and come in contact with are few examples of how your body accumulates toxins. You may not see the devastating effects now because it takes a bit of time to begin to see the signs. However, premature aging, constant weakness, and digestive issues are the top three signs of toxin build-up in the body. This is why experts recommend detoxing once a month to rid your system of these harmful substances in the body. As you do this, it’s best to be mindful of the products you use to detoxify.
Every day, new things happen within your body, and while you may be aware of some, several others are unknown. Hopefully, these interesting facts will contribute to helping you take better care of your body.
