It’s more of a snapshot — a record of what feels aligned in this particular season.
At 37, I don’t impulse-buy the way I once did. I edit. I consider. I revisit. If something lingers in my mind for weeks, that usually means something.
Here’s what’s been lingering.
Tumbler | 20 OZ||Cressida Quilted Top Handle Bag||Imaginary Authors x Anthropologie Spin Me Round Glass Candle||Cloudsurfer Max||Pepsi® Wild CherryHydration has become less of a trend and more of a baseline requirement for functioning like an adult. The Stanley 20 OZ version feels practical without being oversized, and I appreciate that it doesn’t pretend to be anything revolutionary.
It’s a well-designed object that makes an everyday habit slightly nicer. That’s the kind of “luxury” I respect now — incremental upgrades to daily life.
Would my current water bottle continue to work? Of course.
But there’s something appealing about refining the small rituals.
There’s a specific category of handbag that signals composure. Structured, quilted, top-handle — it suggests you planned your outfit and possibly your week.
The Cressida Quilted Top Handle Bag sits squarely in that category. It’s feminine without being saccharine, polished without feeling overly precious. It reads classic rather than trendy.
I don’t need another bag. I do, however, appreciate accessories that feel timeless enough to outlast a mood.
This one feels like it belongs at a birthday dinner, an art opening, or simply on a day when you’d like to feel slightly more put together than usual.
Candles are one of the few indulgences that I rarely question. They’re less about fragrance and more about atmosphere.
The “Spin Me Round” Glass Candle from Imaginary Authors x Anthropologie is beautifully packaged — the kind of piece you’d leave out intentionally. It feels curated, almost literary.
Lighting a candle at the end of the day isn’t dramatic. It’s subtle. It’s a signal that you’re home, and the pace can soften.
Do I need another candle? No.
But do I appreciate objects that make a room feel considered? Absolutely.
The older I get, the more I understand that good footwear is non-negotiable.
The Cloudsurfer Max sneakers are appealing because they merge performance and restraint. They don’t scream “fitness identity.” They’re simply well-engineered and aesthetically clean.
If I’m investing in movement — walking more, prioritizing health — then I’m willing to invest in the right support. Not as a trend, but as a commitment.
There’s something quietly satisfying about choosing practicality that still feels like you.
This one is admittedly playful.
The Pepsi® Wild Cherry Tinted Lip Gel leans nostalgic in a way that feels self-aware rather than juvenile. It’s the beauty equivalent of a cherry soda on a summer afternoon — not essential, but charming.
I appreciate beauty products that don’t take themselves too seriously. Not everything has to be luxury-grade. Sometimes something is allowed to be fun.
Bedding is rarely glamorous in conversation, but it’s one of the most impactful upgrades you can make.
The Laura Ashley Loveston Sheet Set carries that soft, floral heritage feel — refined rather than loud. It suggests an appreciation for detail.
We spend a third of our lives in bed. If there’s an area worth elevating slowly and thoughtfully, it’s that one.
This isn’t about aesthetic for Instagram. It’s about the quiet luxury of good sleep.
I’ve reached a point where I prefer slim, intentional accessories over oversized everything.
The Bubble Gum Large Slim Card Holder is compact and slightly irreverent. It adds personality without demanding attention.
It’s the kind of small object that feels distinctly chosen. And I like that.
Fragrance is where indulgence becomes intimate.
Delina Exclusif is deeper and creamier than its brighter counterpart — richer rose, softened by warmth. It’s less daytime flirtation, more evening composure.
This isn’t a daily errand scent. It’s deliberate. It lingers.
I have perfumes I love. I don’t need another. But fragrance, more than most things, marks chapters. And there’s something fitting about associating a birthday with a scent that feels slightly more assured.
It’s important to say this clearly: a wish list is not a demand list.
These are things I’ve noticed. Appreciated. Considered.
Some may eventually make their way into my life. Some won’t. That’s fine.
I’ve learned that it’s possible to admire beautiful objects without feeling entitled to them. It’s also possible to enjoy material things without confusing them for fulfillment.
At 37, I’m far more interested in intentionality than accumulation.
If something enhances daily life, aligns with my taste, or supports a goal — I’ll consider it.
If it’s fleeting, I’ll let it pass.
That discernment is the real gift of getting older.
Birthdays used to feel louder. More performative. More about proving something.
Now, they feel reflective.
This list isn’t about acquiring everything in sight. It’s about recognizing what I’m drawn to right now: structure, softness, quality, subtle indulgence, humor.
It’s about taste evolving.
And perhaps that’s the most satisfying part — not the items themselves, but the clarity.
If something from this list appears wrapped in ribbon this year, I’ll be grateful.
If not, I’ll still feel exactly where I want to be: steady, self-aware, and increasingly certain of what suits me.
That, more than anything, feels like growth.

So here it is—my very not-urgent, not-demanding, not-necessary Christmas wish list. Just the things I’m loving, liking, or low-key lusting after right now.

Let me start with the item I am obsessed with. Like, cannot stop thinking about it obsessed. The small ivory leather tote bag has such a hold on me right now. I have plenty of bags—probably more than plenty—but I somehow do not have one in this exact soft ivory shade. And something about the minimalist silhouette just feels like it would elevate every outfit without even trying.
It’s clean, it’s chic, and it goes with everything from winter whites to deep fall tones. It also reads subtly luxurious without trying too hard. A quiet luxury moment that whispers rather than screams.
I keep imagining it with my neutral sweaters, my breezy skirts, even my athleisure.
Do I need it? Absolutely not.
Do I love it? Absolutely yes.
Let’s talk boots. My current brown boots… they’ve walked me through seasons of my life, through weather they didn’t deserve, and honestly, they’ve held on longer than anyone expected. But it’s time. They are not just scuffed—the inside of the boot is literally shedding. They are beyond repair. They are past Pete the Cobbler’s magic hands. If I brought them in, he would probably suggest letting them go.
So new brown boots have officially moved from “silly little want” to “practical necessity disguised as a treat.”
The I.N.C. Fawne boots are gorgeous—structured, sleek, classic. They’re the polished-riding-boot-but-still-modern style I gravitate toward. They’re the kind of boots that make you stand up straighter. They’re the kind of boots that say, “I knew exactly what I was doing when I got dressed today.”
There’s a reason that Black Honey is so popular. It’s iconic. It’s easy. It’s flattering on literally everyone. And as someone who loves a natural-but-elevated lip, I feel like the full Black Honey collection is having another renaissance—and I’m here for it.
It’s the perfect winter lip: a little bit moody, a little bit glossy, a little bit like you just came inside from the cold and look adorable without trying. It matches the vibe I’m on this season perfectly: soft, subtle, effortless.
You know how some products just feel luxurious the moment you put them on—even if they’re tiny? I want my hair to smell like a warm floral honey cloud. I want my ends to look shiny even when I’ve been up since 6 AM. I want to feel like a moisturized, well-conditioned princess.
This mini size is perfect for testing without committing, and it fits right into the theme of my whole list: comfort, softness, self-care, indulgence in a tiny bottle.
My strawberry era continues, I fear. Anything strawberry-adjacent speaks directly to my soul—and this bundle blends cute packaging, sweet vibes, and a little bit of emotional main-character energy. It’s adorable. It’s very “me.” And it fits into my love of things that make me feel feminine, whimsical, and just the slightest bit dramatic in the best way.
Cozy. Cozy. Cozy. Did I mention cozy?
I’m telling you—the vibe this year is “I’m inside my house, minding my business.” This set is the embodiment of that. Real ones know I’m a big camo girl, but the pink camo? The cloud-soft material? The wide leg? It’s giving luxe loungewear, not “duck hunters.”
This is the kind of set you wear while sipping a matcha, journaling, getting lost in your Kindle, or settling into a movie marathon. It’s basically wearable melatonin.
A little sparkle, a little graphic moment, a little festive flair. This sweatshirt feels like holiday season done right—playful, cute, and something that would immediately make me smile the moment I put it on.
It’s comfy without being boring. Festive without being costume-y. Cheerful without being loud. And the sequin red lip? Iconic.
It also has that “I’m the fun friend who knows her aesthetic” energy.
Silk pillowcases feel like self-care you actually notice. I love a product that quietly helps: less friction for my hair, less creasing for my face, a silky slip that keeps your skincare where it should be. The pillowcase I want is a soft ivory or a pale pink—something that looks pretty on my bed and plays well with my aesthetic.
It’s also practical: smoother hair in the morning, fewer bedhead episodes, and my skincare feeling less wasted. A pillowcase is a tiny bedroom upgrade that pays dividends every single morning.
Small jewelry makes me feel seen. Lately, I’ve been loving gold croissant-shaped earrings—a little whimsical, a little playful, and perfect for elevating even the simplest outfit. They’re understated but unexpected, the kind of tiny luxury that catches the light and makes a casual moment feel intentional.
You put them on, and suddenly you’re ready for a meeting, a walk, a date, a brunch. It’s such a small change but it makes a mood shift feel effortless.
Candles are my season-setting device. Sarah walked into my apt this summer (she sometimes breaks in to leave me flowers) and asked HOW it smelled like strawberry candy when I’d been gon three days. I winter, I go cinnamon bun and marshmallow. The Marshmallow Fluff candle is soft, enveloping, and just sweet enough to feel indulgent without being overpowering.
Lighting a candle is intentional. It’s that tiny ceremonial moment at the end of a busy day when you decide to be gentle with yourself. So yes, a candle is on the list. It’s mood, ambiance, and sensory comfort all wrapped in a glass jar.
Honestly? That I am entering the era of gentle indulgence.
None of these items are needs. They’re simply reflections of how I want to feel as I move through winter. Warm. Comfortable. Taken care of. Elevated in small ways. Inspired by little luxuries.
So no, I don’t need any of this. But I love all of it.

This year, things seem pretty much back to normal, except for the fact that my mom and I have already decided that we have no interest in Black Friday. Instead, my mom, my Auntie Steph, and I will go to Chef Geoff’s and then I’ll finally get to show off my apartment to Steph. She actually gifted me my couch and my chair in my living room and I can’t believe that she hasn’t seen it yet!
Since we’re not doing the shoppin’ thang on Black Friday, my mom asked me what I want for Christmas. I honestly don’t want or need anything but she was like PLEASE give me a list. So I figured I’d share with all of you, too!
1.Women’s Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirt, Relaxed Zip Hoodie||2.AE Plaid Babydoll Mini Dress||3.The Baby Brush Crush Mini Heated Straightening Brush||4.Maison Margiela ’REPLICA’ Beach Walk||5.renew face serum||6.Runway Quartz Rose Gold-tone Dial Tortoise Twist Chain Link Ladies Watch||7.Ella Corduroy Shacket||8.Tess + Tricia Zodiac Drop Huggie Hoop Earrings||9.Teddy Bare It All Bronzer||10.Naked Honey Eyeshadow PaletteA note to my mom and anyone else reading this: I am by no means asking for everything on this list. These are just ideas and what I’m eyeing right now! I used to do monthly wish lists but seeing as how I’m not blogging as consistantly as I used to, you can always check out what I’m eyeing in my links under CURRENTLY CRAVING, AMAZON WISH LIST, and SEPHORA LOVES LIST.

If y’all know anything about me, you know that I could live on Mission chorizo quesadillas and margs. Of course I decided, especially after my amazing bach party with them, that I wanted to celebrate the big 3-0 at my favorite spot. And I couldn’t let this momentous occasion pass without a theme, so 13 Going On 30 is it. The idea was to have my friends come dressed like they did when they were 13, or inspired by the earl 2000s, but I don’t even care! I just want to party with my frands and play dress-up. Everyone tells me that I don’t look 30, so why not go with it?

I usually don’t get *excited* for makeup launches, but the Brunch Date Pressed Powder Shadow Palette is all of my colors and I obviously love the theme!
Rompers are actually great for my body type because they hit my curves well. And I love the ruffle detail on the straps of this Khloe Sleeveless Romper.
Every time I see these shoes I think of my favorite Disney kitty, Marie. The bow is just too cute.
Maybe it’s the nostalgia talking with my birthday coming up but oh my gosh do I miss my Caboodle!
I’m usually all about heart-shaped sunnies but how adorable are these daisy glasses?
To go with the daisy theme, a Ban.Do Retractable Charging Cord for little miss never charges her phone over here.
Kendall and I decided we didn’t want to bring our rings with us when we go on our cruise. I was considering getting this insanely cheap fake set, but Kendall’s right that it’ll probably turn my fingers green. I might get a new pack of slim silicon rings instead- totally fine for going in the water, etc.
I’ve been checking out bathing suits like crazy and I think my 3 fave are here, here, and here. I love these styles because they hide my tum but don’t look frumpy. And check out the bow detail on the middle one!

Kendall and I were talking over dinner about how exciting the first few months of the year are for us. We have both of our birthdays (my 30th!), Sarah’s wedding, our first anniversary, and the corresponding trip the the Bahamas! Some of our goals include reading more, Kendall wants to be proficient in coding, and we both want to make healthier choices. We’re going into 2019 psyched to see what this year brings us. What do you have planned for 2019?

Old Navy has some cuuuute bathing suites right now. This gingham Scoop-Neck Swim Top for Women I think is my favorite!
Since my post about when to toss certain items without expiration dates, I’ve been really good about throwing away things in my bathroom that have “expired”. Makeup brushes are the next thing on my list of things to replace, and this set is a best-seller on Amazon.
I had a really cute little jelly purse from SheIn a couple of years ago but in my travels I ended up with this weird red gash on it. The jelly purse is great for the beach though because it can be wiped clean easily so I’m thinking Ingrid Jelly Silicone Medium Bag would be awesome for our Bahamas vacation!
I’ve fully embraced the tulle skirt, and a grey one with embellishments is extra fancy. I’m between this and a deep green for Sarah’s wedding.
I’ve been going nutty about using what we have since I organized our bathroom closet… like I refilled my almost empty lotion bottle with hotel lotion. These little travel bottles come with labels so while I’m combining random shampoos and lotions I can at see what they are. These bottles are also TSA approved!
When I was purging old makeup, I was sad to find that my Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner was totally dried up. I don’t wear glitter all that often, but it’s an easy thing to swipe on before a fancy night out.
New year new phone case? I’m really rough on my phone and my current tough case is cracked. With Zazzle, I can also add my logo to this one!
I absolutely love the Zenni glasses I already have (prescription for computer use at under $20 with shipping!) but I always forget them at work. I’d love a second, fun pair to just keep for use at home.

I also know my mom is getting me the coffee pot to go with my formal tea service. We have a code that if we get each other gifts that we know about we say, “ho ho ho” and that means, “you’re not getting this until Christmas, lady.” Kind of a silly tradition and we crack ourselves up with it.
But Kendall on Friday night was like, “seriously, what do you want for Christmas?” I thought a little list wouldn’t hurt. Also, I make a wish list every month… so that too. What’s on your Christmas list this year?

I’m also about to start doing my Christmas gift guides as it’s the time of year where I’m super excited to shop for my loved ones for the perfect Christmas gifts. If you’re starting to Christmas shop (or finishing it up!) don’t forget that Amazon Smile is running a promotion through November 2nd where you can earn up to 5% cash back on your purchases to a charity of your choice. I’m shopping for Homeless Children’s Playtime Project. The mission of the Homeless Children’s Playtime Project is to cultivate resilience in children experiencing family homelessness by providing and expanding access to transformative play experiences. All children deserve to play!
My wish list this month is totally looking towards the season ahead. I want comfy, soft, and just a little bit of sparkle. What do you have going in November? And what’s on your wish list?

I have been slowly learning to let things go. If blog posts don’t get done, laundry isn’t put away the night it gets done. etc. – it’s ok. It’s not the end of the world! This month is super busy with something going on every weekend. I’ve just had two weekends away, a friend is coming to visit, I have a bachelorette weekend, and then Dani and I are working on a little something special for Halloween. I have so much fun stuff coming up I’m just not going to put pressure on myself so I can enjoy it.
I would like to be more consistent in almost every aspect of my life though. I’m not a morning person, but I would like to be. I would like a more consistent blog schedule. I would like to figure out how to actually schedule downtime. I’ll work on it. It’s finding a balance between living my life and living it with a little more structure. Until then, I’m just chugging along the best I can, excited for fall weather to get here and stay here.

What’s on your wish list this October?

Then the week after that is Chowder Fest so I’ll be down the shore eating and buying all of the things with my mom and two of our closest friends. I cannot wait for the end of this month!
So what’s on my wish list for this transitional time?

August is kind of a slow month for me this year- September and October are going to be insane. Currently on the books this August I have a girls’ night with Sarah and not much else. I’m OK with that. I’m really tying to work on myself – more gym, more mindful eating, more yoga. That’s actually why this wish list is late and why I’ve skipped a few posts- I was workin’ on me last week more than I was workin’ on the blog.
What’s your August looking like?
I actually hadn’t heard of Karen Kane until this year’s #NSALE and the dress I’m on a mission to get in every color. The Karen Kane Tiered Ruffle Hem Dress is perfect for those #covenvibes I want for fall.
Another Karen Kane, this time the Cascade Faux Wrap Dress. Faux wrap dresses are the way to go for my body type- highlighting my waist, which I like, but I also don’t have to worry about a real wrap dress coming apart.
I had this great pair of espadrille wedges that I literally wore into the ground and needed to toss. Loving the idea of a leopard wedge like the Dolce Vita Women’s Pavlin Wedge Sandal because the colors are transitional.
I got to wear my Sperrys on a boat last week! But I’ve also been wearing them to work on rainy, gross days. How cute are these Sperry Songfish Cork Boat Shoes?
Another day another novelty purse. You need to see the inside of this Pink Polly Pocket Heart Shaped Cross Body Bag!
This rain and humidity has given me limited footwear options for work. My favorite flats got stuck in the rain with me on a week ago and I feel like they’re still not dry. My Hunters are awesome but they get so HOT in the summer. Fortunately, there are options beyond the traditional rain boot, like the Sperry Top-Sider Women’s Ariel Beck Rain Boot. These could totally pass as booties for the office.
I know it’s early I feel like I’m already ready for cozy fall mode. I’m nuts about candles, and I feel like this WoodWick Vanilla Gourmand, Toffee Brittle & Toasted Marshmallow candle would be awesome to keep Pride Rock smelling sweet.
I seriously think Winky Lux has some of the best lip products I’ve ever used. And how adorable is this heart-shape on these Winky Lux Steal My Heart Lipstick Pills?
I’ve been seeing pastel rainbow sweaters everywhere and I’m here for it. This Rainbow Knitted Long Draped Cardigan is one of the best prices I’ve seen but Dolls Kill has some really adorable options too! I especially love their CONFETTI CAKEZ OVERSIZED CARDIGAN.
