I’m not sure if it was turning 30, Kendall going away for three weeks (he comes home on Saturday!) the day after I turned 30, or taking a trip to Wisconsin the weekend after I turned 30… but something clicked. In a good way. I’m not sad at all about being 30. On one hand, I’m feeling more settled than I ever have. On the other, I feel secure enough for adventure and trying new things.
I’ve found this past year that I’m valuing quality time and experiences over stuff and that my goals have changed from more more more to just being happy- in my career, relationships, and life in general. I want to try something new- instead of doing a wish list this month, I thought it might make more sense and be more fulfilling to share my intentions instead. Maybe I’ll go back, but I feel like if I share my intentions, I might be more likely to follow them. You may have seen them on my insta stories, jotted down in my ugly handwriting in my planner. But here they are in pretty colors. My plan is that if I fulfill my intentions daily, I’ll make a note in my planner in the corresponding color. This is partially inspired by the awesome pens my Aunt Leslie sent me for my birthday. Here goes!
Lunar Intentions Moon Deck
- No social media after 10PM or before I’m ready for the day
My iPhone has made this one easy! There’s a screen time setting and I basically have all apps blocked between 10PM and 8AM. I’ve already found myself getting ready in the morning much faster, and I’m not scrolling at bedtime!
- Use Lose It! app daily
I realized when I was in Wisconsin that I really didn’t love how I looked. I need to be more mindful about what I’m eating, using Lose It! Even if I don’t log every little thing, it’s certainly jarring to see how fast empty calories can add up! Again, it’s about being mindful.
- 2 exercise classes a week
I’m absolutely loving trying out new dance classes Jordin’s Paradise, but I decided to not get the unlimited pass for a year after talking to Kendall. I can move between dance classes there, maybe going back to Corepower every once in a while, or trying something totally new using the MINDBODY APP. Regardless, I know I need classes because I’m bad at working out on my own.
- Pick at least one per day- blog post, journal, or work on writing my book
I love writing, and I feel better when I write. Simple as that!
- Create one Zazzle product for every day
Apparently, the sweet spot for Zazzle shops is about 1,000 products. My shop has nearly 700 now, so this goal will help me hit that. I can “cheat” a little because when I come up with a design, I usually put it on at least 6 products at a time.
- Read at least a chapter of a book daily
Reading is something I always used to enjoy, and I simply don’t make the time for it like I used to. I really should! There’s no reason not to!
Do you have intentions for this month? I’d love to hear what they are!
