If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I have an emotional attachment to backpacks. I was tickled last year when my friend Ally got one for her Black Friday find and thought of me. I’ve quoted her before on this, but Meaghan said it best:
I can’t even begin to tell you how much more enjoyable my morning commute is now that I have both arms free to eat a breakfast sammy or high five strangers.
I definitely enjoy my free hands, especially since when the weather’s nice, I like to walk a little extra bit. I felt annoyed and weight down this morning with the trusty pink Betsey tote I’ve been using for a few weeks. When I officially retired my Reptar backpack (at least for work), I got a marble looking one from Target. It’s served me well, at least for clearance backpack from Target. But now I’m looking to upgrade again.
This time around, I’m looking for a backpack with the sophistication of a briefcase (mostly. I wouldn’t shy away from a fun pattern or graphic). Something big enough to lug my laptop around in when I travel, or my camera, planner, wallet, lunch, and maybe gym clothes on the regular. I’m asking for a lot from a backpack, but life asks for a lot from me so there we go.
