Last weekend, totally annoyed by the sunny-then-cloudy nonsense that has been this May, Kendall and I sucked it up and thunder be damned went to check out the new Wharf. I’d been dying to check it out and it isn’t even so new anymore, having opened in October. It’s still not completely finished, but it’s such a nice atmosphere for warm weather. Lots of patios to grab a drink as well as spaces for families to hang out.
It was super crowded on Saturday despite the clouds so I bet it’ll stay that way all summer. Have you been to Cantina Marina? It’s little sister bar and snack shack, Cantina Bambina, is right on the new Wharf’s waterfront, above the water taxi ticket booth. It was perfect to grab a drink and enjoy the breeze and people watch.
We decided to get the water taxi back to NW because a) I love being on the water more than anything and b) it was the same as an Uber! Now that I know that, I think we’ll skip the traffic and boat there and back next time! We even snagged tickets to Deadpool on the way back and were essentially dropped right at the theater. Nice little Saturday.
I’m not gonna lie, this was naht the outfit I had planned. The dress I wanted to shoot shrank significantly in the wash and is now a shirt (that I am going to try and return. BOI BAI!). I’d been itching to wear this Loft Embroidered Toucan Tee but wanted to dress it up a little. TBH, not sure I’m totally feeling it with the skirt. I think I like it better with my skinny Bermudas from American Eagle.
