Find your tribe + love them hard

Last Friday, I got to meet up with some lovely ladies for my second #BubblesAndBloggers event. Originally organized by Dani of Blonde in the District, it’s an inclusive but tight-knit group of DC bloggers who come together to talk shop, learn from each other, and spread the positive vibes that are sometimes lacking in the blogging world. No competition, only encouragement.

Our sweet hostess for the evening was Sarah of District Damsel. Did you see the spread she had out for us before we all went out? We demolished it. And drank several bottles of champs. We giggled, we chatted, and we cheers!-ed quite a bit before heading out to Sax. In fact, it was about 15 mins after we were originally set to leave that we got down to business. I mentioned my potential re-brand and was met with a ton of encouragement and advice to flush my ideas out some more before I make any big decisions.

We also talked our own styles through the eyes of the group. Sarah looked at me and immediately said, “GIRLY!” Fair enough. If it was socially acceptable, I think I would wear a tutu at all times. I can’t do that, but I can rock a tulle skirt on a Saturday night. Fun fact; this particular tulle skirt is actually from the kids section at Target.
