I freakin’ love Valentine’s Day. For a long time in high school, I tried to hate it because my freshman boyfriend broke up with me the day I picked up his present, but as a relatively girly-girl who loves hearts and pink and glitter- I just couldn’t stay away! (Also- never let a moron ruin something you like!)
Last year, as a single gal, I got a group of ladies together to go to the Kendra Scott Color Bar to make some jewelry and go to brunch after. This year, with Valentine’s Day in the middle of the week, I’m not sure what Kendall and I are doing, but I can’t wait to surprise him with a little something I have in the works. His birthday is the 11th, but he’ll be in Mississippi for drill and I’ll be in NYC, so I might put together a little combo situation.
A lot of people are cynical about February 14th, but I can’t find anything wrong with having a day to share a little extra love.
