Snowbird
Tying ribbons up in your hair
Wishing that I could be there
Stay awake, stay aware- The Ready Set
I have to be totally honest here- I got the inspiration for this post from DC to a T. I follow Sarah on Instagram, and actually messaged her to see if she would mind if I stole her idea from one of her posts. Thanks girl!
I loved the idea of wintry items that don’t scream holidays. When I think winter, I think icy blues, cozy scents, and cuddly knits. It’s been a pretty mild winter thus far, specially considering that our one day with teen temps was technically in fall, but I’m hoping for at least one big snow so that Kendall and I can have a snow day together. Our plan is to somehow make it from Glover Park to the Lincoln Memorial to enjoy the snow- whenever it gets here. I also have my mom’s beef stew recipe so on this fantasy snow day, I’d put the stew in the crock-pot while we went out to play so it would be nice and hot and ready for us when we got back.
Until then, we have our cozy little apartment, an arsenal of scented candles, and warm wishes for days. What wintery things can’t you live without?
