As much as I share what I’m currently loving on my blog and Instagram, I also see my blog as a mood board. This is pretty evident with my home posts, but sometimes I just want to create a mood.
With Taylor Swift dropping Evermore last week, I’ve gone back into having a major Taylor Swift moment. My closest friends know that this is a relatively new development. In college, there was this really obnoxious girl in my sorority who was obsessed with Taylor Swift so I decided to hate her. Stupid. But then when she dropped Red, I couldn’t pretend anymore. I became a Swiftie. (And yes, I just looked up if it was Swiftie or Swifty.)
Lover is, by far my favorite Taylor Swift album and contrary to popular opinion, “Me!” is my favorite song. I’ve come to think of it as my theme song and kind of my aesthetic.
I’ve honestly never really been one to care if things are popular. Sure, I see a trend I like and I might try it. But equally catch me in my sneaker wedges and statement necklaces listening to one of the most hated Taylor songs of all time. If you happen to see see me bopping around with my headphones on, there’s a 72% chance that what I’m listening to. It’s a little saccharine and glittery, but nice. Just pop music at its finest. I just feel like it fits my personality.
