When in doubt- margaritas. Sarah and I had a meeting with Amanda from Whistle & Wild a couple weeks ago but Amanda had to reschedule. No problem. Since Sarah and I had already blocked off the evening, cute outfits and all, we decided to happy hour anyway.
We went to one of my favorite HH spots in the city. Mission DuPont has some of the best margs I’ve ever had, and I could eat their chorizo quesadillas every damn day. I actually got there a literal minute before HH ended, and the bartender was the absolute sweetest about it. A pitcher of margs later, we decided it would be such a good idea to go to another bar for one last drink. Why? Because we’re young with not a whole lot of responsibilities and why not keep sipping on a random Monday?
Seriously, even though I’ve only known the Bubbles + Bloggers girls a few months, I’m not sure what I did without them before. It’s so nice to reach into my pocket and know I have a whole little crew available if I want a buddy for an event, a photo shoot, or even just a happy hour on a work night. If you find your tribe, you better love them hard, because it’s kind of an ugly and competitive world out there. I found that having them around has given me a lot of confidence, especially since some of my closest friends have moved away.
In summation- get a great gal-pal or a few, get dolled up, and go to that second bar.
