Kendall and I really put the “living” in living room. We have a beautiful dining set that just accumulates coats during the week as we prefer to have our meals at our coffee table. We picked out our couch together- soft velvety grey + perfect for napping. Now that it’s gotten frigid in DC, we’ve been spending more time there than usual, and I love how our little space came together.
The coffee table really is the center of our home, and we keep adding little pieces to the setup. I think we finally have it down. We basically contain all our little things on an oversized tray that takes up a third of the table itself. We always have a candle lit and we’re both fans of more masculine scents. Right now we’re burning Black Tie (a seasonal scent from Bath & Body Works), but we also loved Flannel (ditto).
One of my favorite touches is our little candy dish, an incidental from Target, that is completely full of pink Starbursts. That’s right- all pink! While visiting family in Myrtle Beach this past summer, my Gramma Dee took note when Kendall and I said they were the best and sent us an entire bag of pink only. It’s been a hit with us and our guests. I’m not sure where she got ours, but I found the pink gold here.
We also have a couple trinket trays to catch our chapstick and the jewelry I take off as soon as I get home. And not that we really need them with our table, but we have a really cute set of coasters in orange, navy, and grey to match the rest of the room.
While the items below aren’t exactly what we have, this gives you a basic idea of what I believe to be the perfect little set-up. And not to toot Target’s horn too much (I mean, is that even possible?) they have the cutest little things to help jazz up + refresh your space right now! Their Valentine’s Day decor isn’t overtly so, but is just cute enough to add that lil somethin’ somethin’.
