My mom retired a couple of weeks ago after about 40 years of teaching. That means that she had a classroom to clean out and 40 years of stuff to go through. Most of it was given away, but she packed up her books to read with her future grand kids, and I ended up inheriting a great little shelf from her classroom that works perfectly in our entryway.
While I haven’t quite filled the shelf (I’ll document it when it’s all done and cute and up to my standards), I immediately knew that one of my Fresh Wave candles would be right on top. Although Pride Rock may not always be the tidiest of homes, I pride myself on it feeling fresh, so it would make sense that I put a candle to greet anyone who walks in the door. The Fresh Wave soy-based Candle {courtesy of} is perfect for removing odors caused by cooking- and our kitchen is the first room you see when you walk into our apartment.
Keep in mind that Fresh Wave natural odor removing products use simple, pure and natural ingredients—water and a proprietary blend including natural extracts of lime, pine needle, aniseed, clove and cedar wood. There is a light fragrance to the candle, but without a perfume! We also keep the odor removing gel under our sink to help get rid of some pesky kitchen odors.
Since I’m still trying to figure out how the heck else to decorate our “entry shelf” (???) I’d love some comments below if you have something similar. How did you set yours up?
