There have been a lot of changes for me this past year and, honestly, I am thankful for all of them. On this day, celebrating at my parents’ home, I am thankful for their unwavering support. Their home is and will always be my home as well. We’re blessed to have plates overflowing and love abound. I’m thankful that my church family at St. John’s Olney welcomes me back, no matter how long I’ve been away. I’m thankful for my new friends that seemingly came out of nowhere that now I can’t imagine my life without. I’m thankful for the dear friends who have been around much longer who make my life so sweet. I’m thankful for the encouragement I’ve received for my blog relaunch.
Most of all, and pardon me for getting sappy, I am so thankful that I found my Kendall. He’s the best friend (and the best roommate) I could have asked for. I love doing life with him and I love that my friends + family all love him just as much. In the 9ish months that we’ve been dating, I think he’s already made such a positive impact on me as a person. He’s always encouraging me to grow and do better, helping me not to sweat the small stuff, but he’s still there for me when I do. He’s survived several meltdowns and has yet to go running scared. I’m thankful for our adventures and our happy little home in Glover Park. I can’t wait to see what this year will bring for us as a couple and as individuals.
My hope for today, in the midst of all that is uncertain in this world, is that we can all find something to be thankful for. I have so much, as I’m sure my readers do as well, material and non-material, and we should all be throwing kindness around like confetti. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
