A few days late but here I am. This past weekend was so amazing and I always feel inspired when I get home from the Jersey Shore. The weather was unusually perfect- no flooding or high winds- so we really enjoyed Chowderfest to the fullest. While we didn’t actually do as much shopping damage as usual (not enough room in the car, tbh) I really had fun checking out the style of the beach this year.
If you’ve never been to the Jersey Shore, chances are that idiot show from nearly a decade ago has warped your opinion. Pro tip: none of those people actually lived down the shore. I was actually really taken aback this year with how stunning the LBI locals were: sun kissed, athletic, effortlessly gorgeous. As for the clothes on the island, a lot of what I gravitate towards: distressed, oversized, comfy without compromising style. A bit of beach bum meets boho and I loved it. Grab me something soft and add a ruffle, bow, or embellishment and I’m there!
Speaking of which… this Cotton Emporium Ruffle Hem Knit T-Shirt Dress is everything. I would stick it with booties and a leather jacket (as I would with pretty much anything this time of year.)
I read a lot of blogs from the UK and I’m usually sad that I can’t purchase their recommendations but I found AC Clean Up Mild BB Cushion on Amazon and I’m thrilled! Not only does it have an SPF 50 (50!!) but there’s tea tree oil in it. Totally worth a try and for under $20, if I don’t love it it’s no harm no foul!
I’ve been checking out vampy lip colors for the season. Currently crushing on MAC Nude Lipstick in Antique Velvet.
This Halogen Ruffle Cold Shoulder Sweatshirt combines three of my favorite things: grey, cold shoulder, ruffle.
I absolutely love my cape this time of year. Throw it on on the way to work, snuggle in it if I get to cold in the office, throw it in my bag on my way home when it’s too hot. The colors in this Pashmina Wrap has the perfect colors for the season too!
Apparently statement necklaces are kind of on their way out? I refuse to a) believe it b) give mine up. This behemoth is the kind of thing I’d throw on with a simple work outfit to jazz it up.
File this under “things I absolutely don’t need” but how cute is this Llama Coin Purse? Fun fact: I wanted a llama so bad when I was younger. My Gramma Dee actually got me a charm bracelet one year that said “llama” on it.
This is silly but I took a quiz to see what kind of crystal resonates with me. I shouldn’t be surprised- it’s rainbow quartz. I love the raw look of these Nakibirango London Titanium Aura Astral Earrings.
What are you loving and craving this October?
