One of my favorite little jokes about Thanksgiving is “what are y’all wearing to the living room?” This year, more than ever, it really runs true. With COVID cases on the rise again, I know that a lot of folks have opted to stay safe at home to avoid traveling and potentially putting their nearest and dearest at risk. I’m sure this sentiment is going to continue into Christmas and the New Year.
That being said, I have continued to get dressed throughout this entire pandemic which has helped keep some semblance of normalcy. Except for Thursdays and Sundays when I do yoga and wear leggings, I fully dress and accessorize, down to perfume. I go into the office three days a week, and while I could wear jeans, I have opted to wear my usual business casual. I don’t judge anyone if they do the opposite, but for me it has honestly helped so much during a time when everything seems off.
The upcoming holiday season won’t be any different for me. Things I’m loving for the season: pearls, plaid, and bows. (Now that I type that I’m not sure this is any different than any time or any season for me…) What do you think about this one? I love a little bit of edge with some sassy, feminine pieces.
