Much like on the day of my shower, I am tardy to this party posting about said shower. I think that was kind of a turning point for me in wedding preparations, and after the wedding shower, my mind had very little room left for bloggings or much of anything else.
But my shower/ bachelorette party weekend was one of the best weekends of my life. My mom, maid of honor, bridesmaids, friends, and some key female family members came together to create exactly what I wanted. I decided to combine the shower and bachelorette party into one weekend because my guests were coming in from all over the country. It was a whirlwind weekend but I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
My MOH had a very set vision for my shower. She wanted it to be classy and sparkly and pink and gold. Basically, if my blog logo could be a party theme, my shower would be it. She hosted it at the country club I grew up going to, and where we had her shower just a few short years ago. Montgomery Country Club really worked with Casey + my mom to help bring her vision for lunch. We had a mimosa brunch complete with omelet station because brunch is my favorite time of the day.
To create the Sweet Caroline theme, Casey created a candy bar and got me my DREAM CAKE! I wanted a naked funfetti strawberry cake SO. BAD. and Tout De Sweet made SUCH a good one. I kid you not it was the first thing I noticed when I walked into the room and we were eating it until we physically had to be out of the bachelorette party hotel. (I was shoving forkfuls of it out of my mouth literally on my way out the door.)
She also went literal Sweet Caroline and bought a Neal Diamond record of my song for guests to sign. She borrowed a bunch of vases of different sizes and filled them with pink and white flowers. One of my other bridesmaids, Kaytee, did all the calligraphy for the little signs all over the room. The decor was so precious and I truly felt like a princess all weekend. I was honored that ladies traveled from all over the country to be with me and help me celebrate. And thank you to my Gramma Dee for being the official photographer!
