When I was registering for our wedding, one of my friends told me to register for vases. I didn’t want to register for vases, because I wasn’t using them very much, but I did and I’m so glad I did. I ended up with a cute Kate Spade vase with matching bud vase along with the really cool little astronaut guy I featured on my Instagram today.
Having vases around is just an excuse to buy myself flowers. Here’s another plug for Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies by Tara Schuster: you deserve flowers. Even if they’re just carnations, even if you buy them yourself. Surround yourself with the simple things that make you happy! Right now I have peach carnations in my living room in the astronaut and a mix of pink and peach in my bedroom in my bubble girl.
Your vases don’t have to be designer or crystal, but I’m definitely finding myself, as always, drawn to the quirky.
