Yesterday I went into CVS for dental floss. I ended up leaving CVS with dental floss, nail polish, and two iced coffees. I left behind an entire shelf of Korean skincare products that totally intrigued me.
This is the problem with skincare and makeup for me. I have a few products that I know and love and that I should stick with, but packaging and unusual or new concepts draw me in.
One of the things I left behind was Holika Holika Lazy and Easy Gudetama All Kill Cleanser Oil to Foam. That’s a mouthful- but not only is the packackaging adorable, but the idea of oil to foam sounds delightful and moisturizing. I was under the impression, for a long time, that all oils were bad for my oily skin. I learned that ’tis not so and that moisturizing actually helps regulate the amount of extra oil my skin produces. There were lots of other fun and tempting products- mostly in mask form. A cooling, foaming, and warming mask sat in a row, just to name a few.
While I’m trying to be more cognoscente of what I buy vs. what I need, I can already feel a difference in my skin now that it’s gotten cooler, making it very tempting to try new products. It just feels a little dull and my one lovely chin cyst just won’t go away. I want to use up my trusty products that I have, but I’ll be eyeing the below to keep my skin bright and happy as we approach winter.
