When Kendall and I first starting dating, we had a talk about all the places we want to visit. Australia, Tokyo, London, etc. But then I was like, “SAVANNAH!” and he looked at my like I had two heads. “Babe, we can do that in like… a weekend.” OK. But I’ve still never been and I want to go! I honestly am not sure why, but I’ve felt drawn to Savannah for years, and just haven’t made it down.
This Friday, I leave for what I am now calling in my head, The Great Southern Road Trip. I fly to Alabama on Friday for a wedding of one of Kendall’s Kappa Sigma bothers, then to Mississippi to meet Kendall’s family, Savannah, Myrtle Beach, and Raleigh before coming home a week from Sunday. I get to go to my dream travel city, you guys! I even booked us a room at a hotel that’s supposed to be haunted and made dinner reservations like a month ago for The Olde Pink House Restaurant. We’re moving Kendall up here so even though I’ll be on the road a week, I have to pack smart. Easy dressies, practical bags, and sandals seem like the best bet. Obviously, this isn’t my entire packing list, but these styles will at least get me started.
And if anyone has any tips for me about traveling through those areas, let me know!
