My first Loft hall came right after I was promoted to an MOD (manager on duty) at Pier 1. While I’d previously had to wear a solid black or white shirt, jeans, and black shoes, the promotion allowed me to dress business casual… in COLORS. This was around the time when brightly colored chinos were on trend, and I kid you not that I sent my friend and fellow MOD across the street from Pier 1 to Loft and had her put a pair of pants in every color in my size (then, a 2. God bless.) 0n hold. I went over after my own shift, opened up that credit card, and have been loyal to Loft for work wear ever since.
I’ve not really been buying clothes recently. This is partially because I was getting my shopping fix with wedding shopping, but honestly, Kendall and I are exploding out of our apartment and we don’t need any more stuff. Also, bless her, my mom misses me so she keeps me in cute t-shirt or sweater dresses (my uniform). I’m such a mama’s girl.
But Loft’s friends and family sale my break me as I’m itching for spring and the colors and fabrics that come with it! And as for the exploding apartment situation, I’ve totally fallen in love with ThredUP as a way to clean out my closet. I’m done with holding onto things that don’t fit right or feel right- into the bag they go! If my items aren’t bought, I know they’re being recycled and I feel good about that. So much easier than Poshmark, IMO. Anywho- after you clean out your closet, check out the 40% off Loft sale (EVERYTHING- with the code FRIENDS) and grab a haul for spring.
