Sometimes I see outfits on my friends and immediately wish they were on me. My girl Amanda of Whistle & Wild looked absolutely adorable at a casual friends meet-up a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I’d take a stab at recreating the look of this outfit with different pieces (and maybe without the hat because my moon face looks even rounder in hats like that.) I love her graphic tee tied into a crop with the maxi skirt + statement necklace, but then I flew off the handle with the accessories I chose. As a shorty, I have to pair maxi anything with heels or wedges, and the more rose gold the better, in my opinion.
This kind of look is so fun for summer brunch or rooftop drinks. While we were all about the red, white, and blue for Red White and Fuego at Mission, I would wear this for margaritas with my señoritas any day. Clearly I’m into bright colors + playful prints, and now that I don’t have my sorority advisor telling me to “take one accessory off before you leave the house,” I have thrown that advice completely out the window.
