Last weekend, I went to lunch with my parents out in Gaithersburg and knew as soon as I said yes to Uncle Julio’s that I would end up at Target, as one does. I went without a list, but knew I wanted to check out their Christmas stuff.
This is my first Christmas decorating totally on my own and with a more cohesive theme. I love a mid-century influence and my theme kind of started with the Woodcut Mid Century village setup I got from World Market. Since it is all me and my style this year, we’re going for vintage look, pastel, and glitter… so pretty much how my living room already is with a (big) hint of Christmas.
I say this every year but I just want to remind everyone, for at least the second time this year, that I collect Christmas cars, so I snapped the ones in this post up so fast! I actually already have a car tree skirt, but if I didn’t, I would swipe this Cut Faux Fur Tree Skirt. Instead, I opted to decorate under the tree pink with coordinated wrapping paper.
I feel like I should also say that the felt garland isn’t strictly Christmas, but on sale and matching with my theme works out wonderfully! (Especially since the recommended amount of garland is at least nine (9) feet of garland per foot of a tree.
And the ball ornaments aren’t for my tree. I have a glass serving bowl full of mini pumpkins right now that will be switched out for those.
How are you decorating for Christmas? Do you keep to a theme or collection or do you just run with it?
