Personalized Christmas Stockings
Happy Friday! We’re in the home stretch now before the holidays and I’m feeling a little frantic. Saturday, my mom and I are wrapping up Christmas errands and hopefully Kendall and I will finally make it to Zoo Lights! Sunday is a fun Whistle & Wild photo shoot with some of my girls + brunch at Sequoia. What are you up to?
This week on The CaroLøve:
I weirdly, every year, remember that December 16th is the day I saw Dream Street in concert. I was in 7th grade and I sobbed upon meeting them, especially Chris Trousdale who was the love of my life from 1996-2003. Because of social media, I was able to message him a year or so on Instagram when I was feeling nostalgic and he regrammed it. Please don’t judge me. That concert spoiled me because I got to meet my favorite band and, honestly, I think it changed how I experienced music forever. I guess my point is that you never really know who you’re impacting and it’s important to make connections. That concert was 14 years ago, and I’m still thinking about it today.
A good friend of mine posted this on Facebook and I couldn’t be more thrilled that she equates philanthropic, sparkly champs bottles with yours truly. Each of these glitter-covered champagne and wine bottles also provide a donation to a specific charity that you can read about on each page, from an LGBTQ youth hotline to providing meals for families. If you need a holiday hostess gift for a party, make it one that gives back! And it doesn’t hurt that they make a great centerpiece or conversation starter. Caroline Downing – this is possibly the most you thing I’ve ever seen!” Unfortunately, all the glittery bottles are sold out BUT, all of the bottles sold by One Hope are part of creating an impact.
I was sitting at my desk yesterday, eating ramen because my boss had ramen and I just needed ramen after I smelled hers… anyway I came to the realization that I actually would use a Sriracha key-chain.
I just have to give Lauren of DC Girl in Pearls snaps because I have been obsessed with her festive/ holiday/ plaid style recently!
Now on the list of Kate Spade love that I 1) cannot afford but 2) wouldn’t spend that amount on a clutch even if I could: the whimsies unicorn balloon clutch. I mean, how stinkin’ cute!?
A friend of mine was wearing Irregular Choice shoes and my draw dropped. They’re kind of like if Betsey Johnson had a British cousin/ bestie.
Hope everyone stays warm this weekend. And don’t forget if you see someone who isn’t who looks like they need help, the hypothermia hotline for DC is 202-399-7093. Your call to the Shelter Hotline should result in the dispatch of a van to take the person from the street to an emergency shelter (or to a hospital if needed). The van is equipped with items such as water, blankets, gloves and jackets.
Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the link! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed my plaid style 🙂
Sounds like a fun weekend! Enjoy Zoo Lights and stay warm 🙂
