Having a wedding is a monumental occasion, it’s binding you and your partner for the rest of your days and solidifies your relationship with them! Because of its emotional importance, you’re going to want to make sure you have it in the right location for you, but what are your options?

The classic option, but also one of the best for a reason! A church is a brilliant place to get married, regardless of whether you are religious or not. Churches are where marriages originated from in the west, so by getting married in a church you’re going to be getting married in the place where it all began, giving it a traditional feeling if that’s what you’re after. Some churches are also fantastic pieces of architecture, so if you’re getting married in a very old and well kept church you can expect to see people in awe of the building itself and not just because of you! Churches too are often one of the easiest venues to get a hold of because of how many there are dotted around the country, but this does mean that for some of the nicer ones you will have to wait a while, so keep this in mind before you commit!
Banquet Hall
One of the lesser seen venues for a wedding, but still one of the best and perhaps the most unique setting for a wedding. A banquet hall is a big, long hall that has big, long tables to accompany it! Similar to churches, these halls are often very old and are steeped in heritage, however there are modern ones available for you to pick from. These are good because you can get a wedding that feels very personal as there is only going to be one room, perfect for those of you who want a very powerful wedding!
Outdoors
This is becoming an increasingly popular choice amongst people that don’t want to spend too much but still want a wedding to remember! Having an outdoor wedding reception is one of the best things to do in the 21st century. It’s not something that has really been done before, and the effects of it are fantastic. By being not enclosed by walls and glass, you’re truly exposed to the elements and this can be a real crowd pleaser if the weather goes your way! There is nothing quite as enjoyable as having a wedding that is outside in the sun, so have a look at the different places you can do this!
All of these venues are great choices, if you want a tradition and awe inspiring wedding then have it in a big church, if you’re after a powerful and personal wedding then have it in a banquet hall or if you’re after something that exposes you to the outside world, then have it outside!
