I’m so spoiled. Seriously, every time my mom goes away for conferences she finds time to slip away and go shopping and find funky stuff for me. I always ask her how her trip was and she always tells me, “well I found something for you that you’re either going to love or hate.” Usually, I love. This skirt, from her recent trip to Chicago, I loved. It’s a little bit of a different look for me, as I typically go shorter because I’m, well, short. But this midi, with heels, suits me so well with the feminine color combo + lace. The name is actually my fave too- Chapel Rose Printed Lace Pencil Skirt. Chapel rose- how pretty! My one complaint is that the sizing is a bit funny- I was somewhere between sizes, and actually am in the process of getting the skirt taken in about an inch. The jacket was funny because my mom actually got it before she saw my leather jackets post and was tickled that I’d shown some similar styles. It’s vegan, but is such a soft, buttery faux I could live in it- plus I love the dusty pink color!
Back to the subject of out of town shopping, does anyone find that even nation-wide department stores are different from state to state, or even country to country? My favorite Macy’s is in LA, for example- not that Harold Square is too shabby either! And H&M in Gothenburg, Sweden far superior to the one down by Metro Center. I love checking out stores I may have at home when I travel because there’s always a difference. Do you have a department store that you visit while out of town? Or certain favorite stores that vary location by location?
