These boots are now for sale on ebay (Eur. sz 37)
This past weekend, Sarah and I got together to shoot some amazing clothes for Whistle & Wild, an almost-launched boutique that will be open online in September. This is not one of those looks- those are coming soon. This was my off-duty blogger outfit.
Since it is hot as h-e-double hockey sticks in The District, I was stoked when Sarah asked earlier in the week if I wanted to join her on her rooftop pool for champs + sunshine after our shoot… until I realized that literally all of my bathing suites currently reside in Laytonsville. Solution? TO TARGET WE GO! I ended up finding the suit I was looking for all summer, and, because I was in Target, I found other stuff too. Along with my hunt for the perfect high-wasted two piece, I have also been looking for jean shorts that would hold in my tum and a camo t shirt that I can throw on with jeans, preferably under $10. Thank you, Target, for always being there when I need you.
Sarah and I were talking about outfit shoots as we were, you know, shooting outfits, and one thing that we both agreed on was the fact that outfit shots should be of clothes you’re actually wearing/ going to wear. I think when I first started blogging I had this feeling that I needed to create outfits out of nowhere and some of them ended up being a hot mess. This outfit was legitimately what I wore on Saturday when I wasn’t in my bathing suit. I felt cool and kind of bad-ass mixing the boots with the camo- kind of like a… warrior 😉
PS- warrior 2 is definitely my favorite yoga pose. Total power position.
