Getting to work on time can seem impossible sometimes. You’ve had some terrible sleep the night before, you don’t want to get out of bed, and there’s simply no time for breakfast either – that last step, particularly, will set you up for a very bad day ahead! 

It can get you down. You’re trying to prove to both yourself and the world that you’re ready for your career, and that you’re totally in charge, and yet the tardiness on your record seems to speak for itself. You’re in a real need of change. 

But what will it take for you to get to work on time? What will you have to do to ensure you get out of bed, feeling bright and ready for the day, and then get out of the door with plenty of time to spare? A Good Sense of the Working World

You’ll need to be aware of what’s going on around you, especially when it comes to the working world. Thankfully, most of this comes from a healthy mixture of common sense and experience, and you’ve got that in spades! So, let it lead you. 

If you’ve got an early morning start to make, or late evening meeting to get to, you’re going to need to know the roads ahead at the very least. Make sure you check a traffic report for your area on a daily basis, to stay aware of issues such as highway closures.

You’re also going to need to know the type of commuters on the road around you. Are there quite a few dangerous drivers in your area? Maybe there’s quite a few cyclists? Being able to factor them all into your commute time will make sure you get to work on time. 

A Good Night’s Sleep Beforehand

You’re always going to need a healthy 8 hours on your side. Sleep is what makes the human body clock go round, and if you’re not sleeping well, you won’t be working well. And if you want to get to work on time, you’ll be needing a brain and body working in harmony, ready to wake up when the alarm clock tells them to. 

How do you do this? Spend a good 30 minutes before bed winding down from device and screen time, make sure you’ve got plenty of blankets on your bed, and set the noise and light level to something that makes you feel relaxed. 

And an Alarm System That Never Fails!
