I know I’m getting ahead of myself here, but autumn is in the air. This happens every year in DC: we wrap up a miserable, humid, buggy August and the air starts getting a little less heavy. It’s slightly cooler. Starbs and Dunkies do their pumpkin spice thing. I’ve been saying “WEIRD B*TCH FALL IS NIGH!” for a week… and it’s currently 74 degrees.
Autumn is my favorite season. While I love running around half naked all summer and basking in the sunshine like a lizard, I extra love that back to school feeling (even as an adult) and the coziness that comes with fuzzy blankets, hoodies, and night coming earlier.
My career shift this summer as events coordinator with The Mission Group has also lead to my being able to dress exactly how I want. On days when I have events, even if I just need to greet the hosts, I really let my style and personality shine. Things I may not have worn into an office, I can get away with now. While I do love a good black look for ease, I’ve also been wearing a lot more color to work. I’m not putting away pinks, or any other colors for that matter, for the colder months… just adding layers.
A quick note about the Ahava hand lotion I have linked below – I got one of their products in my FabFitFun box and wowowowow it’s such a gentle moisturizor.
