I’ve been limiting my shopping recently because Kendall + I have some wedding expenses we need to save up for. This jives weird with my new job because I just want to stock my closet with new clothes for work. I’ve been on a total work wear kick recently, but I also know myself and that I wear dresses 90% of the time. From what I can tell, my new position has a similar dress code to my firm, but I don’t want to buy anything before I kind of feel it out (for example-sleeves- are they mandatory?).
That being said, I do have my eye on some budget pieces. I have found that as I get older I’ve been looking for more versatile, classic pieces for work that can go from season to season. Bonus points if it looks good with a button-up underneath and a cardigan over for layering once it gets cold. I also look for a length that works with flats and my trusty OTK black boots.
