I have been designing tee shirts since I was a kid. I’m 99% sure a certain toy company actually jacked my designs that I sent them when I was in 3rd grade. I have a few shirts I made with Custom Tee Couture, but they’re a little expensive. In college, I basically elected myself as t shirt chair of my sorority and even designed the Greek Week shirts one year. There are just a couple that I did while in college:

I’ve toyed with the idea of starting my own t shirt company, but that requires an investment that I just do not have at the moment. Enter one of the coolest concepts I’ve seen with Bonfire. You can check out how the whole thing works on their website, but basically I (and you! and whoever!) can come up with a design, pick a price point, and not have to worry about a thing else but getting paid and seeing the design come to life! The one small catch is that 5 shirts have to be paid for for them to be printed. If you don’t sell 5 or more shirts in the allotted time of the campaign, everyone who purchased the shirt gets their money back. No harm, no foul.

As a designer, you don’t have to worry about inventory, shipping, or anything! Just coming up with an idea that will sell. And with that, I bring you my first campaign! If Things + Tacos sells, I’ll probably keep designing and sharing and selling. If not, this was a fun experiment and I’ll take it as a learning experience!
