With the costs of Christmas mounting up, the last thing you want is to have to spend all your money on some newfangled celebrity VIP pampering session. But of course, you still want to feel glam.
Fortunately, there are treatments you can try which won’t break the bank.
Throw A Pedicure Party
If you can’t afford to go to the spa, there’s nothing wrong with throwing your own pedicure party, right from the comfort of your own home. Just ring up all your girlfriends and get them come over for a night in. Grab a bunch of pedicure kits from the superstore and make those cuticles perfect. It’s a great activity for having fun and getting everybody together for laughs and giggles. You don’t have to stick with pedicures, of course. Facials are also an excellent way to have fun while looking weird.
Get Rid Of Those Annoying Aches
If there’s one thing that celebrities don’t put up with, it’s aches and pains. They’ll try everything to make themselves more comfortable, from pills to acupuncture. Of course, you don’t have to go to those extremes. A simple sessions with a massage therapist should do the trick. Find a therapist in your area who specializes in ayurvedic medicine and who understands the body. Get them to perform a deep tissue massage, making sure that all those sore bits are loosened up. For that extra fun factor, take your friends with you and share stories in the back of the taxi on the way home about which part you liked the most.
Grab A Cheeky Weekend Break
VIPs are constantly getting away and enjoying some remote corner of the world on their yachts. Remember Sir Philip Green on his boat in the Mediterranean all last summer when he was trying to avoid the world’s press?
You don’t have to spend a fortune, though. Just a single night in a hotel room with your partner or your girlies can be enough. Order room service, grab a massage at the spa or head out to the pool to relax: the choice is yours. Just make sure somebody else is pampering your for a change. You don’t even have to travel all that far if you don’t want to: shacking up in your own city can often be a lot of fun in itself. Plus, you might find something new that you never knew was there.
Buy Yourself A Little Treat
If you’ve been working six-days-a-week, uninterrupted for the whole year, it’s high time you treated yourself to something you really want. We’re not talking about going down to your local discount store and bagging a bargain. We’re talking about going to a proper boutique and finding yourself something really unusual. It could be something as simple as a bouquet of flowers or a book to read, or it could be that new bag from Vivienne Westwood you’ve had your eye on for some time. Whatever it is, make sure it’s something special: after all, it’s Christmas.
