I’ve got my eye on…

While I really do like the frankincense oil moisturizer I got from Etsy, I’m not a huge fan of the packaging and Kendall thinks it smells like food. Not really what I’m going for. However, I found an Organic Facial Moisturizer that is under $10!

My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw this Rainbow Pendant Bib Necklace.

I don’t even know if Kendall is going to be here for Valentine’s Day but if he is I’ll need to rock this White Heart Pattern Mohair Knit Sweater.

Don’t forget you can always peek at my wish list over in my sidebar. Here’s what I’m currently craving:

Around the internet

I’m always looking for a bargain, and I can personally vouch for some of these 29 Beauty Products Under $10 That Are Actually Worth Your Money. (And I’ve added a few to my wish list) via Buzzfeed

I usually don’t get excited about makeup (although I do appreciate cute packaging) but Jeremy Scott and MAC Created Your Dream Beauty Mixtape. via Cools

Some details of this Wedding That Brought Ibiza to New York and Broke All the Rules were were stunning, but some I could do without, personally. What do you think? via Coveteur

An updated Ramen & Pho Guide for DC… you know for when it freaking snows again next week. via Brightest Young Things

I kind of cringe when grown women are too into Disney, but OHMYGOODNESS these Disney inspired gowns by Paolo Sebastian are absolutely stunning and so not literal. 10/10 would wear the whole collection.

I should have seen it coming. Our director came in after the holidays grumbling and sneezing and coughing and generally miserable because his kids got him sick. The poor guy. I’m not really supposed to talk about my company on my blog but I will say this- these guys work hard, long hours and travel constantly, so they can’t really let anything slow them down. So, Big Boss came to work sick for the majority of the week. I even picked him up some chamomile tea because it was so sad to hear him try to talk (and because he requested it for the next grocery delivery- which would have been two weeks away).

But yes I should have seen it coming. Between Big Boss’s cold and the cold I seem to have come down with something/ back down with something because since this cold snap I haven’t felt altogether healthy. Sniffles, sneezes, chills, and a cough that won’t quit. I was face timing with Kendall on Thursday and after like 20 minutes of hacking, he insisted that I make myself a cup of tea.

My mom is a huge tea drinker and my dad drinks several cups of coffee a day, so I grew up with quite the collection of mugs. This is also due, in large part, to my mom being a teacher who’s students knew she loved tea and would gift her mugs. Plus me working at Pier 1 and bringing home clearance mugs that caught my eye. I do NAHT drink out of plain mugs thank you very much. I even keep two at work that are very Caroline and very mine and I dare anyone to use them. I’ve even started selling mugs in my Etsy shop!

I like to see my coffee and tea as a ritual, especially since learning about hygge last year. Something to help me start the day, break up an afternoon, or settle me before bed. Therefore, I think it’s imperative to drink out of something that makes you happy. How do you take your coffee or tea?

Millennials do a lot of stupid crap. I would know- I am one. Being a blogger AND a millennial I’m probably extra annoying. I like documenting what I’m doing and what I love and thinking that people will actually care about it. While I don’t use the word influencer to describe myself and would never stand on a chair at a restaurant to ‘gram my food (I have VERY strong opinions on this) I’m just as guilty as the next kiddo born between 1982-2004 of being self-involved.

But we’re not all bad. We grew up with technology- as in it grew with us- and we keep finding fascinating new ways to use it. We want to be better and make the world better. While Snapchat certainly isn’t going to solve any world issues, our involvement in social media means we can share ideas at the speed of thought. That’s pretty cool, if you ask me. And being a generation who grew up hearing we’re special and can do anything we put our mind to- of course we would have our own freakin’ color that is ridiculously hard to describe.

I actually had to Google Millenial Pink to figure out how to actually tell you about it:

It’s sort of a grapefruit shade of apricotty salmon. The Gardian

In general, Millennial Pink is a soft pink with some gray tones to add subtlety and sophistication, and a slight hint of peach, making it a warmer and rosier pink and less a magenta-pink.houzz

The answer, I think, is that millennial pink isn’t so much a color as it is an idea — hence the great difficulty in pinning it down to a single shade. Millennial pink, whether pale or desaturated or salmon-y, is a kind of non-pink pink, an aesthetic distillation of the ideals of contemporary feminism: unabashedly female, but removed from the constraining associations of the past. It is, in a lot of ways, defined more by what it isn’t than what it is: not Barbie. Not bubble gum. Not princessy.Apartment Therapy

I use it a little interchangeably with blush and rose gold myself.

As I’m writing this post, within eyeshot (I wasn’t sure if that’s a word but spellcheck is not rejecting it), I am wearing a millennial pink sweater, my phone case is partially millennial pink, and my wristlet with work FOB and important cards is glitter on one side and millennial pink on the other. I know what I like. Also, creepy, I just opened Facebook on my phone and the first ad that pops up is for this bag set from Away only the ad didn’t call it blush. The ad called it millennial pink.

Anyway, I found a millennial pink list on Amazon and wanted to create my own. What do you think of this color?
