I  make fun of myself all the time saying “I don’t know how to girl.” In the age of everyone being offended by everything, this is probably not a great thing to say, but I just mean I’m not awesome at being classically feminine. I whine like a toddler every time I wear anything with a heel, my hair is usually in a topknot or ponytail (and usually rooty af), my makeup routine for every day is a BB cream and mascara on my upper lashes, and I prefer a good graphic t over a blouse. I wouldn’t say I’m a tomboy, AT ALL, but I just can’t always be bothered with the stuff I guess I’m supposed to care about, beauty wise. I definitely have no idea which makeup brushes are supposed to do what.

Whether you’re a seasoned makeup professional or a n00b just trying to figure it out, LiveGlam is a great way to build your beauty arsenal. Check out the details on this month’s MorphMe brushes + KissMe lip colors from LiveGlam and sign up for your own boxes! I like that they tell you specifically what the brushes are to be used for as most of the time I straight up guess!

Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes? Any you love? I definitely want to hear about them in the comments below!

Last week, I introduced you to LiveGlam’s KissMe Club. As it was last call for their September collection, Send Me Nudes, I knew that a new collection was right around the corner. I’m super excited because it’s October which obviously means there has to be a bit of Halloween flair in there, but I wasn’t even considering another huge October focus- it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

In October we wear pink to bring awareness to Breast Cancer research. The Pinktober MorphMe Collection comes in this month’s signature color. You’ll be getting 2 face brushes and 3 eye brushes this month: PK14 Tapered Powder and PK4 Contour Blush for getting your face on fleek, and PK36 Tapered Blending, PK524 Oval Shadow, and PK45 Angle Brow to complete your look! Check out our Pinktober MorpheMe How To video while you’re at it!

Help knockout Breast Cancer this month while you slay your Pink MorpheMe brushes. If you’d like to get involved in the cause or place a donation, you can visit http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org for more information!

I think the reason I love the Halloween season as much as I do is because playing dress-up is a passion of mine. Any reason to be extra af is a good one. While I typically shy away from super bright, dark, or unusual  lips, I always get a compliment when I do try a more daring lip color. KissMe’s October Trick or Treat Collection is totally I put a spell on you and I love it! Especially that vixen color! The seasons are changing and it’s time to try something new, don’t you think?

I didn’t even realize that we’d hit September until late Friday night, but isn’t it kind of cool how as soon as September hit, so did some fall weather? I’m not going to be fooled- I know we’ll probably have a few more summery days before fall actually hits later this month, but it’s o much fun to start thinkin’ boots and sweaters and all. pumpkin. everything.

September is going to be a super fun month. Kendall and I are road-tripping down to Charleston, NC for a wedding and stopping to see family in Myrtle Beach on the way down and back. Then the following week, I’m going on my annual girls trip to Chowderfest on Long Beach Island, NJ. I just want to buy Tiffany and I all matching outfits and wear our boots and tromp around eating seafood for a weekend. It’s going to be great!

What do you have planned for September?

I’m no stranger to animal print, and I think I want to add a leopard clutch + leopard booties to my arsenal of accessories. Actually, lets throw in a leopard puffer vest too! Not to wear together. I’m not that crazy.

Homegirl was literally just gluing her makeup brushes back together this weekend. Perhaps I need a new set that matches my cute pink, black, and white bathroom?

I keep saying I want another pair of loafers since I have just about worn through my gold Coach pair and I’m considering getting a pink pair just because pink isn’t a traditionally fall color BUT WHY CAN’T IT BE?

This is a purse shaped like a PSL. That is all.

Speaking of PSL- my future Sissy in law and I are getting matching basic fall extravaganza sweatshirts.

I’m also really, really wanting a monogram sherpa situation. How cozy, amiright?

I haven’t found a pair of nude heeled boots that fit my foot right, so I might try the Via Spiga Beckett Tall Boot.

In case you haven’t noticed, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is kind of like Black Friday for bloggers. We wait for this for a year, strategically plan for certain deals, and share our hauls. In case you don’t understand how the sale works- I’m going to defer you to Ashlee, who did an amazing post on everything you need to know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Last year, I was pretty unimpressed, honestly. This year, however, I found a bunch of things I love. I don’t really need anything per say, so I didn’t have a strategy. I went page by page to check out literally everything the sale has to offer. True to Caroline form, I love the relaxed, the distressed, and the cold-shouldered. Threw in a couple funky pieces to keep my readers on their toes. Oh hey rose gold hat. How you doin’?

Remember that the items included in this sale tend to go fast, so if you see something you love, grab it. Also of note- my picks are in price order and everything you see here is under $150!

I have  decided that I’m going to try something new- one month where I’m allowed to shop then one month where I’m not. I’m going to attempt that for about a year, and after kind of enjoying my Lent of no shopping I think I can do it. I haven’t decided yet if wedding stuff counts, but it certainly does mean that I can’t just clickclickclick whatever I want into my cart, you know?

Annnnyway– June is officially OFF, but I wanted to gather some of the fun things I’ve been eyeing on SheIn.

I discovered SheIn a couple of years ago, and honestly there have been a few huge hits… and some abysmal misses. While I immediately donated a couple things, one of my favorite work dresses. for example, came from the international fast fashion powerhouse.  What I’ve learned about fast fashion is this: be more critical that you even think you need to be. Read the reviews. Scrutinize the size charts. Know that the quality probably won’t be the best.

But for the prices- sure! Go ahead and try that trend. Rock that dupe. Getcha self a little something for that vacation (but just make sure you give yourself enough time for that order to come in.)
