If you have got a bit of the January blues, then it might be time to start planning your next vacation. Summer just seems so far away, so you might be thinking of a bit of last minute winter sun. If you are, then there are so many destinations to choose from. There really is something for everyone, depending on what you want to get out of your vacation. So if a trip in the next couple of weeks sounds good to you, then here are some ideas of destinations.

Colorado
So Colorado might not be known as the sunbathing capital of the world. But it is a great skiing destination. A winter break doesn’t have to always be about the sunshine and sunbathing. You can still enjoy some pretty glorious weather in Colorado, and even get a suntan! You’ll just be skiing as you do so. With the likes of Breckenridge, Aspen, and Vail, there are several world class resorts to choose from. If you haven’t skied before then don’t worry; you can still go! Just look for somewhere like Vista Bahn Ski Rentals, and you can just hire all the equipment that you’ll need from there.
Los Angeles
While the east coast of the country is battling snowstorms, the sun is still shining on the west coast. It has a sunny climate pretty much all year round, so it is a good choice if you want some better weather. It isn’t super hot at this time of year, so it makes things like hikes or trails really doable. A great idea if you’ve got kids too, as there are beaches but also lots of other attractions to see and do. Don’t forget a trip to Santa Monica or some Rodeo Drive shopping; it has to be done!

Dubai
If you are looking for a destination that is a little farther flung, then Dubai is a great option. It has amazing temperatures all year round. But in winter is when they are more bearable. Going in the summer time can be insanely hot! There are stunning beaches and water parks, including the one at the stunning Atlantis Hotel. You could swim with dolphins, visit the world’s tallest building, dine at the world’s only seven-star hotel and soak up the Arabian culture.
Barbados
A little closer to home but still abroad, are the Caribbean islands. They are all great destinations for some winter sun. One great choice would be Barbados. There are beautiful white sand beaches with crystal clear sea water. You can enjoy watersports and snorkeling and swim with turtles. Then you could head to the capital of Bridgetown, to soak up the heritage and atmosphere and enjoy some amazing Caribbean food. The hotels in Barbados are usually all-inclusive which can be a massive plus. The only thing is that you might not see much of the rest of the island. You could get a great deal renting a local villa, though, if you think you’d prefer to do that to see more of the island.
