I am very much leaning into all things soft and pink. I think because work can be so much, when I come home all I want to do is snuggle into fuzzy jammies and curl up on my couch with a furry blanket, light a candle, and turn into a pumpkin.
I was slightly displaced for a couple of weeks when my apartment need a wall ripped out. While it was nice that my complex put me up in a courtesy suite, it did not, in the slightest, feel like home. My apartment is such a reflection of ME that when I’m home, I’m HOME. It’s my little slice of peace, and to me, that peace is pink.
I think it’s imporant, especially around this time of year, to slow down and surround yourself with the people and things that make you feel comfy and cozy. I’m in Laytonsville for a few days with my family before launching into the holiday season. I’m taking this time to relax and recharge before the chaos. When I go back to DC, I know I’m going to have to treat myself with grace and respect during this incredible busy time of year, and I think curating a home that makes me happy is such a big part of that.
For me, that looks pretty pink, and feels super soft.
