Even though my more popular posts are ones that get really personal, I originally started this blog because I love cultivating my own personal style and sharing looks that I love. I’ve talked about playing virtual dollhouse with my home posts, and I really do feel like it’s sometimes playing virtual paper dolls with my style posts. You may already know this, but usually my style collages are a mix of pieces I have and love already (or comparable items) and things on my wish list. Honestly, if it’s on my blog and I don’t already have it, consider it wish-listed.
The look below is a transitional one. I don’t know about other places in the country, but in the DMV it goes like this: as soon as August hits, we have about a week of “cool” temps. Then it spikes back up through September and BOOM fall is in the air. It’s my favorite time of year. While I’ve loved spending most of this summer in shorts, I’m ready for warmer hues, boots, and that fresh fall air.
We don’t really know what fall is going to look like this year (how are parents handling Halloween, for example) but I’m not going to let that stop me from enjoying the little things about the season. All pumpkin everything, scary movies, and cozy nights in will not be on pause.
