I was one of those kids who was always thrilled to go back to school. I spent most of August in a funk because I was always ready to go back before September. I clearly haven’t truly gotten over this as I thrive on routine.
Right now, I feel like I’m lacking in that area, so I decided (finally!) to take matters into my own hands. I’m an assistant who isn’t needed right now, and while I know I’m incredibly fortunate to still have my job when so many don’t, I just really don’t have enough to do as far as work.
I found myself writing to-do lists every day to stay on top of my personal and creative pursuits. I realized that at least four things on the list were on repeat every day. Sunday, while in the middle of my weekly Zoom restorative/meditative yoga (I’d be happy to pass along the info for that if you want!), I had my thinking cap on and remembered that my mom has a personal laminating machine. Why didn’t I just make a cute “dry and erase” to-do list with the tasks I want to complete every day?
So that is exactly what I did. I referenced my old to-do lists and added a few others- like journaling, reading, and a workout- and came up with a totally doable daily task list. At the time of writing this post, it’s 12:20 PM and I’m already half done!
Your list will probably look different than mine, but I wanted to show you the daily tasks that I’m going to make a priority.
A couple other things to note:
- I made this on PicMonkey. I have pro and I HIGHLY suggest it. It makes creating for my blog, Zazzle, and personal projects. Not related to this particular post but one of the coolest things is the background remover. That’s extra helpful for collage posts.
- The fun font I used is called Gentle Giant and you can purchase it here.
What would be on your daily to-do lists?
