I kind of get stuck on style ideas. I totally blame my mom for this after one particularly extensive search for aqua strappy sandals. (She found them.) I just get something in my head and know I want it but I’m very particular.
The current new search is the perfect fall floral to wear for a winery bach party I have coming up in October. I have this image in my head of the perfect boho look- a floral dress, slightly heeled booties, and my faux fur vest.
After finding out I am actually a true hourglass (thank you Modcloth + Marisa!) I’m really been trying to dress the part. I have a high waist that’s tiny in proportion to my bust, so I want to show that off with a defined waistline.
I’m currently feeling good about myself, and I’m glad we’re entering a time when healthy is the new skinny and I can embrace my bod. I can tell when I’m not looking my best because I’m not feeling my best. If I eat junk, I feel like junk. If I take care of myself, I love myself. I will never be waif-y because it’s not in my DNA, so I should be dressing this bod in a way that make it look and feel its best. But I digress…
Starting with my BFF Amazon prime, I’m working my way through pretty floral looks on a budget. The key is to look for fall colors and not tropical. The cut matters too. Sleeves don’t hurt and definitely stay away from flimsy fabric. Floral- not just for spring anymore.
