I am way past “back to school” shopping, but fall is really my favorite time of year to clothes shop. First of all, you’re generally wearing more clothes anyway- layers are coming out to play! Second of all, I always make my trip to Chowder Fest where all the cute beach boutiques have amazing sales. I’m currently cuddled up in the softest sherpa jacket with with leopard accents.
This year, pre-Chowder Fest, I stole away for a weekend with one of my besties. We went to Fire Island and it was so relaxing, but we also did a little bit of shopping while we were there. My best purchase, hands down, was the Free People Adella Slip Dress, on MAJOR sale. I got the corresponding Adella Bralette for some extra support, but the dress is definitely sexier than I’m used to wearing. Tiffany made me get it because, really, it fits like a dream. I was trying to figure out where and how to rock it, and I think I’m going to wear it for an NYC birthday weekend for one of my college friends.
It’s a little beachy looking for the city, but I have two ideas of how to zhuzh it up a little. Guess which one I’m leaning towards.
