When I was in high school, my mom had to put a moratorium on graphic t-shirts. I had so many and most of them were really, really dumb anyway. Like, I went through a Cookie Monster phase, a Care Bear phase (thank you Hot Topic for those), and then just idiot shirts that said stupid things. The kicker was I couldn’t even wear them to school because of our dress code, so truly I have no idea what I was thinking. While I do still appreciate a good tee, I’m now more mindful of what I’m plastering across my chest. I’d pick this Madame VP shirt from Bailiwick over a Jessica Simpson quote any day.

Then there were novelty purses. I still love novelty purses. But I’m realizing that they’re not super great at, you know, holding things. For work, I LOVE my Track Backpack In Signature Canvas. For the weekend, any Kate Spade crossbody will do, and for when I need to throw things in a tote, I’ve been using my Le Pliage Club Tote. Now that I’m back in DC, I feel like I’m carrying more stuff again so my bags are more practical.

So what is my current weakness? It’s not even current. This has been an ongoing thing for years.

Candy colored shoes. Mostly sneakers. Mostly Steve Madden. I’m trying to pay off some big moving expenses, but ooooh a girl can look and share.
