In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes… and blog posts about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I went back to my post from last year, and realized that I kept not a thing from the small selection I actually shopped.
Again, this year, I want to be really intentional with things I purchase, and honestly, Nordstrom has made it easier than ever to do that. I can shop early-ish with my Insider status, but I was able to peruse the list and set up an anniversary sale wish list so that come August 13 (hopefully at midnight) I can snag my picks!
My list has already been vetted by Mama D and my friend Ally, two people who I know will always tell me when I do or do not need something. Practical purchasing is the name of the game. Now, there are a few pieces that I liked that I could easily find a dupe of on Amazon (camo + cheetah t-shirts, anyone?) so I’m going for quality and versatility. If it’s either not desk-to-drinks or comfy to cute, I don’t want it.

So I ended up doing the rug, bedside tables, vanity, bed, and comforter. Wanted to hold off on the dresser because it’s not *quite* what I wanted, not sure what I want to do about the mirror, and I already have a lamp! Can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
